It was alright...Can someone remind me how Dennis Leary was killed, did Emilio Estevez choke him with a belt? Or am I mixing it up with something else. It's a bit of a blur to me now.
Movie: 8/10
Soundtrack: 10/10

The soundtrack was one of my first tapes. The Sonci Youth/Cypress Hill Colaboration kicks booty as well as the del/teenage fan club collaboration. One of the first albums to mix rap and rock together and it played well. oh and its a good movie to boot.

The soundtrack was one of the perpetrators of this horrifing "rap metal" origin. It is good nontheless but helped creat the bad bad music that is all over today, when will we get the next Nirvana!~!!!!
I love this movie, Stevereno I thank you for reminding me of this movie. I think I will order it at my local DVD retailer, it is awsome! I love Denis Leary, when you just see his smile, thats so kick ass!
I felt bad for Raymond though, even though he was a douche...

I was pleasantly surprised by this film.
Alot of tension, creepiness, and some dark humor thrown in.
Also, top notch acting.... I liked the premise , some buddies just trying to go to a game, MAN! See what happens if you take a wrong turn!!
Very good solid suspenseful movie.

Judgement Night is a truly excellent suspence/thriller. It's defenetely a future cult classic.
I love the Ice - T/Slayer song, one of the heaviest on the soundtrack.

It was a great movie, but I felt it kind of dragged in the last twenty minutes or so. Other than that, awesome!

WOW! I am in awe of all you guys! I've posted on JOBLOS before about this movie, and haven't ever got a very positive response! Fuck that now! I am 21, have seen many, many movies and this movie is ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITES! I absolutely adore it. The thing that is so good is that it COULD happen. It's somewhat real even though it's obviously a movie! Am i making sense?! I felt the danger they were in, the way they reacted, it was all so intense! The characters were average you realised they were just regular guys who accidentally get caught up in the mix! You really want them all to live and all the way through the movie i was genuinely scared for their safety and prayed that they would make it out alive. Performances were brilliant and convincing all around which was a major factor in a movie of this kind. May i remind everybody that today is STEPHEN DORFF'S 29th birthday. He's a very cool person, and i'd like to wish him a happy birthday. I believe this movie to be THE BEST ACTION/THRILLER movie EVER made, and i challenge somebody to try and make me believe otherwise.

Heck yeah this is a great movie. Denis Leary had me convinced as the bad guy drug dealer and had some funny dialogue as well, "... you guys fucked up my car, (pause) and I don't have collision." I was rooting for all the characters except Ray, he got what he had coming to him, how dumb can he be?

The "rap-metal" fad seems to be phasing-out (THANK GOD).
I mean, it was okay in the beginning, when it was just Korn and Deftones (and nobody knew who they were!)
But once Limp Bizkit showed up....YUCK.
The good news is good-old-fashioned garage-rock type stuff is coming back....check out The Strokes, The White Stripes and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club..
As for the movie....never seen it.

A couple of weekends ago I got to see part of the movie on television. That and the fact that !MorganOnyx seemed to mention it a couple of days later got me into thinking about the movie again. It really is pretty cool. Dennis Leary made for a cool villain. On another note has anyone seen the made for tv thriller Final Jeopardy? It has the same premise with a couple getting stuck in a bad neighborhood over night and having to survive a trio of thugs. I saw it once when I was a kid back in like 1993 and have wanted to see it again. It even has Richard Thomas of Stephen King's IT in it. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Never heard of that Final Jeopardy, but Judgement Night is beyond badass...even features a chunky Jeremy Piven!

Hmm FINAL JEOPARDY sounds kick ass, I'll do some research on it. JUDGEMENT NIGHT rules beyond belief! I just read my post from 5 years ago and boy do I make myself laugh! I sound like such a dork, but I probably still sound the same now so "ha ha" at myself! This movie has such a strong cast I just cannot fault it. Some reviews slated EMILIO ESTEVEZ but he was great! He WAS that voice of reason, the sensible guy thinking rationally. He wasn't trying to be a hard-ass, he just desperately wanted to survive for his wife and kid. Ordinary man, extraordinary actions! JEREMEY PIVEN was bang on point as RAY "RAZOR" COCHRAN! I love the part where CUBA GOODING JR'S MIKE yells out "RAAAY COCHRAN! THE MAN, THE MYTH!" The male bonding between the buddies works perfectly and sets you up to care about them.
DENIS LEARY was obviously THE MAN as FALLON! Comical, calculating, witty and dangerous as fuck, FALLON had everything a movie bad guy needs to be a success!
I need another watch, and soon! :D

Only depressing thing about this is that it pretty much was one of the last theatrically released Emilio Estevez flicks....I miss that damn brat packer.

Probably Leary's best role...

One of my favorite movies and Soundtracks...The Cypress Hill and House of Pain tracks are infinitely kickass, and Everlast from House of Pain has a role in the movie too as Leary's right hand man

I always got a buzz out of that! We grew up on JUMP AROUND and seeing him play a bad guy was a blast. Ok his acting skills weren't brilliant (especially when he gets shot by CUBA GOODING JR) BUT who knows how they would react if they got shot, I sure as hell don't! So I'll let that one slide!
"Hey, I don't think he's getting up!" :D

Oh shit. Is THAT who that was? I remember watching the scene where Leary is drowning the one dude and thinking the man standing next to him looked pretty familiar. As far as getting shot, I guess you're right. He probably really wouldn't know What It's Like... Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
