Slugs...good bad, or bad bad?

I've got some money to blow, and I'm kinda interested in picking up Anchor Bay's Slugs DVD. I remember seeing this years ago, I'd say between 1988 and 1991, and if I recall correctly I really enjoyed it, but I was maybe 8 or 9 when I saw it, so I'm probably wrong. So anyone recommend, or advise against my Slugs purchase? It's only like $10 so no huge loss either way, but I just wanted some other opinions

bad bad, make that boring bad. Except for one hilariously bad parts it's not worth for this extremely boring movie.

There was only one scene That got any enjoyment out of me. You should try to rent it first then buy it or what.

I LOVE slugs.. I think it holds the world record for the most characters with alcohol addictions.....and they're all played out wonderfully!

Hey you dicks, knock it off!:D No I'm joking, don't worry about it, as long as the thread stays near the top so a few more people might post on it, it's okay. I'm still on the fence about it, I think I'll go ahead and get it, because there's nowhere that would carry it for rent around here. But I've still got till Sunday to decide if I want it or not.
I've seen a small clip recently over at Badmovies.org's site, the scene with the guy in the restaurant, and I laughed my ass off, because there's an extra who's supposed to be a waitress giggling while this guy's face is all melting looking. Anyway, I'm still hunting out reviews, so I'll be back eventually.

Slugs is rough. It has some funny parts but like Claw said, it is way boring. Not worth any money.

Ah, I broke down and ordered it, should be here Thursday or Friday. I wasn't gonna do it, but they had some Reservoir Dogs Mr. Orange and Mr. White figure set for like $17 off retail price and free shipping, so I went for it. I'll probably post back here once I've viewed it. I figure if it sucks, well I know it sucks, but I mean if I don't get a kick out of it I can probably trade it or something. And if not, it's always good to have movies in your collection that make you sound retarded when you describe them to people. You get some great reactions sometimes.

Oh and to answer the question above yeah it's based on the book Slugs. I don't know how faithful it is, never read the book, don't know if it's Kubrick The Shining or Mick Garris The Shining style or what, but I heard it's based on it from a few sites.
