I just find this puppy recently on DVD. I had heard about it and liked Peter Jackson's works (Bad Taste, Dead Alive)and so I decided to get it. Boy, was I in for a ride. Here's the plot in a nutshell: First off, I think I better mention that the cast is all PUPPETS!! The cast of "The Feebles Variety Hour", a family show, are about to get their chance at stardom when they are given the chance to do a live show. In the public, they are shown to be wonderful and nice. Not the case behind the scenes. We got Bletch the walrus, the head guy who has drug deals on the side and is cheating on his wife (a 400 pound hippo named Heidi, who's the star of the show) with a little siamese cat. There's a rat who makes pornos in the basement involving insects and cows, a frog who's a Vietnam vet and needs his smack, a rabbit who is the MC having a sexually transmitted disease, and much more. That's all I'll tell you about it. What follows is a film that is hilarious but totally in bad taste. It's disgusting, outrageous, crazy, fun, and a film that you have to see in order to believe. One thing's for sure, I never got bored while watching through this. A film that won't just horrify and disgust you, but will also keep you watching until the last reels. So, anybody else see this classic?

My best bud and I scrapped together the money to buy this DVD from Half.com. Unfortunately, he's off at a summer session at school. SO, I have to wait... I have all of Peter Jacksons movies, though, one of my FAVORITE directors. And I can't wait to see this movie!!!!

I don't think you'll be disappointed rtatick. It's a sick, twisted time. And I can understand why you felt ill and dirty bowieee. the film's a love it or hate it affair. I mean, when you're watching a film with puppets having sex, i think anybody (including me) would feel a little dirty. that's kinda the attraction for me, but it's a real turnoff to others.

I did really like the deer hunter scene. But that was about it. It just felt so plain flat out wrong.

Amazing spoof of the muppets.PJ's talents shine bright in this one.I can't think of anyone else making a film this gross,so enchanting, entertaining, and endearing.
This guy is all class, but he does'nt let it get in the way of his irreverent side.
I busted a rib watching this, this is some hilarious stuff, with a surprisingly strong story and characters.

FUCKING GENIOUS!! Holy shit! I've NEVER laughed so hard than at the end of the "Sodomy" song when the penis columns blow out the white powder. OMFG!!!!!
Peter Jackson- I know you will never see this, but I must profess my love for you and everything you stand for- Quality filmmaking with HUGE, HAIRY TESTICLES!!!

I actually had to turn it off during the Deer Hunter Spoof.....what a terrible, DISGUSTING movie..mabye I'll muster up enough guts to finish it off when I wake up tomorrow....
what's sad is that I've been trying to find it for a VERRRY long time and I had...well...I really dont know what I was expecting..and I probably got exactly what I was expecting, but I just couldn't handle it..
but I loved the golfing scene...that little guppie kid was sooooooooo cute!!!

superb film. i dont see wots so dispurbing about it. every puppet is a super chatactor in his/her own right and it just has a really depressing look and quality about it. i saw it when i was really young and fell instantly in love with it. a superb film.

My friend's older brother taped it off for me... Second time around it wasn't AS bad, but I still hated it.
