Very very somber spanish psychological - thriller.
It is very different of what u know.
Don't expect some humor, even light - one.
The hopelessnes is strong throughout the whole movie.
It has nothing to envy to Se7en, it is even more dark and gloomy.
The end is not your usual ending, not for the lambda - watcher.
8/10, Spain delivers very good movies nowadays !! ( Abre Los Ojos, El Arte De Murir, The Others, Tesis, The Nameless, ... )

One of the best horror films of the last 10 years, based on a great novel by Ramsey Campbell. I don't know why Dimension even bought this. The movie is just too dark for them to handle, and there's no way to tack a happy ending onto it.
Oh wait. This is Dimension we're talking about...
I heard they were gonna pull a NIGHTWATCH on this one too, and do an Americanised remake, but the movie is damn well perfect as it is. Guess they just want to fuck it up.

Stunning movie. Very atmospheric with great acting and an intelligent script. The end was absolutely shattering. I was thinking about this movie long after the credits finished rolling. This is what i've been talking about when i've stated in various threads that all the good horror is coming from foreign shores these days. The US and to a lesser extent the UK just don't cut it these days when it comes to horror movies. All the good stuff comes from Mexico, Spain, Korea, Hong Kong and China. It's a damn shame. Other than Session 9 I honestly can't think of a US horror movie that has blown me away in recent times.
