Unsettling Kill Bill news

It's rumored that QT's upcoming Kill Bill will be split into 2 films, that both run 90 minutes each! How fucking horrible will that be if this is true?

Supposivily the first film willl end with a cliffhanger, thus making people want to come to see the second part, that will be released a few weeks later.

what? what's wrong with a three hour movie? that sux, they are doing the same thing as the matrix, only that this time is stupid 'cause it is really just one movie, it's obvious they are desperate for money. :mad:

If this is official, I will tell you why. Tarantino has unfinished parts and the studio refuses to give him more money to shoot film unless he makes two parts. In that case, he will be given another 15 million to play with to complete his masterpiece, but it MUST be two parts because the studios will not spend a ton of money to only make back money on one movie.

Tarantino could cut the movie down to under 3 hours and we will see a crazy, martial-arts, black-comedy epic. That would be great! But unfortunately the movie is incomplete right now as we speak. I only hope that KILL BILL is constantly entertaining, because it is hard to pull off a Lord Of The Rings without basing something on a story outline. KILL BILL has many parts that Tarantino keeps adding, but these parts are only there to extend unfinished parts. It is correlation branches that keep the movement continuous and flawless.

Poor guy has not made a movie in so long, that now he is going crazy, trying to pack all his great ideas into one movie. This is either going to make or break KILL BILL. Cutting it up into 2 parts to see in two months is strange, but if it is truly over 3 hours long, I want to see the whole thing complete, than a trimmed down, rushed movie. Just read Entertainment Magazine for constant OFFICIAL updates on stuff like this.

Kill Bill is nothing like The Matrix. I think Kill Bill is better than all three matrix movies. I Like The Matrix, Heck I'm even going to see The Matrix sequels. I think Kill Bill will be the best film of 2003. This will be something Quentin Tarantino has never done. It will be a Exploitation Film Epic.

Okay, I'm confused. Why would that have been such a bad thing? So it's two movies, big whoop. They'd have been released one after the other anyway, and with two movies you wouldn't have to worry about any of the good stuff getting edited out for time purposes. Not to mention the fact that it's easier to sit through two 90 minute movies than it is to sit through one 3 hour one.

So why all the negativity?

From what I've heard from script reviews and an actual early review, it's basically Uma Thurman walking around killing people every 3 seconds on the way to "Kill Bill,"with Tarantino giving them "cool" dialogue while ripping off, I mean homaging the old Kung Fu flicks from the Shaw Brothers and such

It's not that I dislike his movies, but for a talented guy like him working on a movie with no apparent plot, and a bad script like the one online, well, let's just say Kill Bill isn't the first movie on my to-see list
