this movie was...
A)a rip-off because when it says Jason takes on Manhattan I expect at least 10 minutes of the movie to take place there!

B)a breath of fresh air...finally JASON gets a fucking scenery change...that lake was getting old. but i kinda miss it now because hell and space didnt work to well.

C)1.5/5. I thought it had a few good moments but most of the characters are all over the place, the plot is pure craziness and it just didnt do it. T

HIS COULDVE BEEN ONE OF THE BEST FRIDAY THE 13th's..but it pretty much failed.

i just saw this movie today for the first time. i heard alot of bad things about it in the past but i rather enjoyed myself. sure it was predictable and you could put the characters through a paper shreader, but i still like it! i loved the idea of jason loose on a ship. it was kinda like "friday the 13th" meets "the love boat". this movie could of been gorier. i didn't like KELLY HU's death. i would of like it better is jason riped her head off or beet her to death with a SPEAKER or PUNCH BOWL.

this one is a mixed bag. I really loved moments but yet it fell into the same old traps. Regardless of the masses I liked the endeing. Jason was F'ed up looking and I liked the end for what it was. But it took a while to get there. They tried something different and even tho its more by the numbers than say part 9, I guess I have too say I liked it. There is more good than bad, but its too bad that they chopped it to shite. WTF is up with all the Friday flicks getting chopped to hell??? what a joke is that???

JASON TAKES MANHATTAN is a great film. High body count, and JASON gets some new scenery. I love the scene where he goes up against the two gangsters. Lots of great scenes and I don't even really mind that most of the movie takes place on a boat. JASON'S boxing match is also a plus. 10 out of 10. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Jason takes Manhattan has its momments, but it is mostly lows.

Highs:

Kane Hodder does the best Jason in this one,He looks more human, and his look is slicker than before.

The action is pretty good in this one,and at least the characters try to stay together.

The music in this one is a step above.

Lows:

Jason does not even get to stay in the big Apple that long.It takes place on a criuse ship.

The murders are bloodless and stupid for most of the time.If Jules had swung at Jason once ,he would have fed him his heart.

How can Jason just appear at some place when it would have taken him awile to get there?

The Ending is pretty stupid, but I like the way Jason was killed. And people say Part 7s finale was bad.

The movie missed so many chances, and some stuff was not even explained. And the scene on the subway was had me laughing it was so bad.

Alot was promised and in the end it did not deliver the goods, and in my opinion is the worst Friday of all!

Actualy,I gotta disagree with most of you. I loved this films. Probably my favourite of the series. It was a nice change of pace. There was only one thing I dident like with this movie and that was the teleportation shit. I give this movie a 9.5/10

"You gotta help me , theres a killer after me!"

"Welcome to New York."

Well , this movie was average. It wasn't horrible and it wasn't GREAT. I'd probably give this film 3/5 stars. It absolutely does have its moments , and it has quite a bit of them , so you won't hear me complaining.
