Some answers on the question "what" seem to be right about here (http://www.dchiang.com/dchiang.html), especially the FAQ zone...I wasn't quite able to make out exactly what is this thing, but it does seem intriguing ;)

It’s a film book, what the hell? Even after reading the explanation for it I am still lost. Well it does sound interesting, and I am going to have to check this thing out as soon as it is released.

Um..........
It's a graphic novel (aka large comic book), I believe, and it just happens to have a fucking awesome advertisement campaign. (The graphics people are trying to get some free publicity, methinks, all-the-while making this book seem mighty intriguing.)

And they are doing a damn mighty fine job of it. I hope what they have in the trailers, they decide to make a movie out of this, and as for the book, count me in on getting it. I thought I was the only one who knew about Robota, glad to see I am wrong on this.
