yeah i had a tough decision between DeNiro, Pachino and Nicholson, but in the end i just like Nicholson more... because i grew up watching Batman(1989) but all 3 are still great

It's a toss-up between DeNiro and Nicholsen

I think Brad Pitt and Ed Norton have also earned their wings.

How the heck did Michael Clarke Duncan get on the list? I mean...it goes without saying that he deserved Best Actor for his performance as General Attar in Planet of the Apes, but really...what else has he done? :p

I also am wondering why MCD is on the list. He was superb in DAREDEVIL and THE GREEN MILE, but I doubt he's the best living actor. A few others more-worthy actors come to mind like Kevin Spacey or Tom Cruise.

De Niro, just ahead of Pacino and Nicholson; even though his movies from the last few years have been pretty crap.

EDIT - scrap that, I've gone for OTHER, Clint Eastwood. I realise his films might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's a damn good actor (and director for that matter) and is certainly more deserving of such a title than most people on the list.

On that list Denzel Washington is certainly THE best around. The guy is as dedicated and intense as ive ever seen an actor.

and like POLYDISTORTION said...Gene Hackman is living legend. The name escapes me right now but he did a movie with Morgan Freedman (another great actor) where he was being held on a murder...one great flick among his fantastic portfolio.

I'd say the greatest actor that is still alive is unquestionably Marlon Brando. I'm also officially stunned that Russell Crowe, Michael Clarke Duncan, Ray Liotta and Tommy Lee Jones were even in the running.
