This movie looks pretty good. Haven't seen a Jet Li flick in a while. But what is up with DMX doing all these backflips off of walls!?:mad: Why can't he just be a street fighter not some karate master!!!! Also is this a sequel!!?? I never heard of a Cradle 1 before, so I was just thinking that the 2 is just in the title.

it's not a sequel...i think they just used a 2 to color up the title. i'm for a good action movie, i'll have to check this one out.

Also, a third thread was deleted last week due to ignorance. I continue to say that this movie will SUCK because Andrzej Bartkowiak, the Director, has never made a movie that has gotten above two stars before. Both Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds sucked. Aside from the good, intense beginnings, those films resorted to the same cheesy one-liners, silly action, and terrble lame fighting. This director sucks. He can't capture the style and movement that other mainstream directors of action movies can create. The movie will just be bad. That is a fact. This is the link I keep posting every time this thread is deleted. At the bottem of thsi page, is several of the official reviews that are posted on Cradle 2 the Grave. They appear on late Thursday night and early Friday afternoon. These are not the user reviews. These are like Roger Ebert, New York Times, Alantic, People Mag, Washington Post, etc...

And NO, this is not a sequel to anything. It was actually made for way under 30 million and both Jet Li and DMX's paychecks went to almost 10 million. There is no good fighting coordinator. Lots of cheap explosions while we get to hear DMX rap in the end background. My friend has seen this movie several days ago in L.A. and he said it FUCKING SUCKED!!! The preview is bad enough. Just watch how they fight. Wasn't that fight scene in the ring of fire just done in Romeo Must Die? It was.

If the director sucks, the movie will suck. Also, the script writer plays an extremely important role. The script writer who wrote this movie also wrote Biker Boys, which is now considered the worst movie of 2003 thus far.

I agree...screw CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE I will most likley see it on TV but I'm sick of Rap stars in movies...expecially when they know kung-fu...eh

Should be some pretty cool martial arts scenes. And with Kelly Hu and Gabrielle Union there are some pretty hot actresses.
And of course Tom Arnold will add some humor! I thin hes pretty funny no matter how big a role he has.

I liked Romeo Must Die. This one looks like a good popcorn flick. Not much to think about, just raw pure action. I'll go see it.
And some rappers are good in movies. Ice Cube was great in Boyz' N the Hood and in Three Kings. Ice-T is good on Law and Order. And Will Smith just got nominated for an oscar last year. Can't knock him. X on, the other hand, is just ....X.....in a movie.

What the hells your prob. No one cares about the plot. I haven't seen a good popcorn flick in a while. And Cradle 2 The Grave looks excatly like that.:D

That's probably the cheesiest, stupidest title I have ever heard...

I haven't seen any previews for this movie, but I have a feeling it's going to be an utter bomb... I like Bartkowiak as a director (he really needs to stretch, though... this looks like a retread of ROMEO MUST DIE) and Jet Li is asskicker #1, but I don't know...

I'd avoid it just by seeing the title... seriously, couldn't they have come up with something better?
