Fox just announced that it is officially going ahead with a sequel to DAREDEVIL, along with an ELEKTRA movie onto its own. Yup, yup. Read more about this item here (http://www.joblo.com/movienews/1374.htm).

What do you all think? Good idea? Bad idea? Who gives a shit? Talk to me!!

I liked Daredevil but not enough to embrace a franchise. Elektra was really the worse part of the movie for me so a series spawned to support her character is just a bad idea in my eyes. I don't think the premise has enough backbone to support a full blown trilogy or what ever they have in mind.

I am thrilled about both. I loved Daredevil and think it could make a terrific franchise as long as the same people involved with the movie, both infront of and behind the camera. And I love Jennifer Garner and she was in the movie so a movie with her as the main character certainly sounds very promising.

I welcome any comic book movie, all of its sequels, and all of its spin-offs (as long as they are good and stick to the source material). And DareDevil did a real good job adapting the comic to the big screen, I gave the movie a solid 9/10.

One spin-off I would like to see is a Wolverine one.

DAREDEVIL (10/10) has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, so naturally I am quite excited about a sequel. I am even more excited about the ELEKTRA spin-off. The character is fascinating, and Garner did a wonderful job. Both of these films intriuge me, and I can't wait 'till Fox makes them and I can see 'em! ;)

I think a DD sequel is great! I thought DD was a great movie(8.5/10). I cannot wait for another one.

I am not sure about an Elkektra movie. It would be kinda cool, but I am not sure if it'll be able to hold.

Although I hated the first Daredevil, I do think a sequel could be very good. With a better FX team, some correct casting decisions, and an explanation for why Afflect can fly like Spider Man, and this could be a sequel that improves. Or, it could be 90 minutes more of asscock. We'll see.

As for the Elektra, screw it. I want a Bullseye spin-off!

A sequel to "Daredevil" will be interesting to see, I wonder how the story's gonna turn out. As for an Elektra film, I have really mixed feelings about that. I doubt that an Elektra film will be able to stand on it's own, if you understand me.

Is It Being Called Elektra Lives?

If So Does That Imply That Elektra Died In DareDevil?

That Is Kind Of A Spoiler In The Heading Of This Topic (If In Fact What I Said Is True)

I'm looking forward to both. I'd be interested in seeing the sequel to quite an awesome film anyhow, and a spin-off starring the gorgeous and kickass Elektra would be terrific too.

I wouldn't mind to see Kevin Smith write a Daredevil flick. He could bring a cool stlye to it. Yeah.

I enjoyed DD, 8.5, and I'll be seeing this. And the Elektra movie! A whole movie with Jenny Garner jumping around! Shit yeah I'm there!

I'm with the majority on this one. Daredevil was a pretty solid 10/10 for me and I can't wait for the sequel and an Elektra spinoff. "Elektra Lives" is a good title too.:D

How exactly is she supposed to have survived getting stabbed like that? Daredevil worked pretty well and if she had only been wounded it would be credible but since she was obviously DEAD it seems it would lack credibility. That having been said, I went to school with Garner, and am a big fan and am thrilled to see her doing so well. Elektra is a great character and certainly deserves her own movie.

in the movies, my friend, anything can and will happen.

question it not, young apprentice.

merely remember these two things...

1)daredevil and elektra movies will probably be very good

2) more chances to see jennifer garner in leather.

here endeth the lesson.

I've been watching "Alias" since day 1, and Jennifer Garner is mine. Haha... I love this girl - shes incredible. Not only is she as gorgeous as you can get, she is the best actress on television right now. She not only kicks ass, she acts the emotional stuff unbelievably. Should have one the Emmy last year, but lemme not get into that rant.

As for an ELEKTRA spinoff. I NEED IT! I was alittle upset when I saw the movie, because what I've read about Elektra before hand made her seem like a bigger character with more mystery and darkness. So, no doubt I'd love to see more of this character. Ain't nothing I love more than a femal superhero kickin' ass ... Next we should see Elektra VS. Catwoman with special guest cameos from Daredevil and Batman.

As for a DD 2, I'm up for it. Maybe with an R rating it'd be even better - darker, more relistic, less cartoonish. And we need Collin Farrell back. Bullseye was hysterical. Hopefully this will be a Batman Returns - a sequel that expands upon the original and blows it completely out of the water.

This is really exciting - am totally giddy at the Elektra Lives prospect :o Such a great character - will be nice to see her get more attention in her own film.
DD2 will be great too - I'm convinced :)

great news. my only reservation is that i hope that this spinnoff wont disable her from returning for the Daredevil sequel.

Although I didn't like Daredevil at all it's a popular movie so a sequel is a very good idea. The Elektra movie is a extremely bad idea in my opinion but that's only because her character was the one thing I truely hated. Her character was annoying and Jennifer Garner is IMO a terrible actress. She hammed it up really bad in Daredevil and don't think she did anything to deserve her own movie. But hey maybe that's just me.

*SPOILERS*

In the comic book Elektra was magically resurrected by monks, I believe. You are correct, though, the way her "death" was filmed served to confuse the audience after the "surprise ending."

It may be me, it seems to be, I did not get any sense at all that she was still alive at the end of the film. Her heart stopped and Dardevil I think was back on that roof but was there some sort of clue that I missed that indicated she was alive?

SPOILER END

Yes, u missed the clue.

At the end matt sees Elektras necklace in brail.

Earlier in the movie Elektra said that her necklace was a good luck charm and Matt asked if thier was any chance he could get one in brail. That why u heard him say "sometimes u just gotta have faith" and turn around with the big grin on his face at the end. He relized she was alive and prob standing right behind him.

As for how she lived in the movie i imagine paramedics shocked her back to life. Cops and paramedics were on the scene as she died and found her still very warm body so its a posibility.

They tried to give people a clever hint at the end that she lived but i dont think many people catched it.

Anyone who is even remotely familiar with Elektra in the Marvel Universe would be well aware that an Elektra spin-off has the potential, if done correctly, to be truly great. The Frank Miller run produced some amazing story arcs with Elektra, and her current ongoing series isn't too shabby either. The hero Elektra we got to see in the film is quite different from the comic book Elektra, who is quite dark (she is, after all, an assassin!). The possibilities seem endless. A Daredevil sequel is also a good idea...I loved the first one (9.5/10) and am anxious to see what they follow it up with!

Also, I have noticed many people are confused about how Elektra could possibly be alive after being gutted by Bullseye. Well, to make a *very* long and complicated story short, she was (in the comic books) resurrected by an evil ninja sect known as the Hand to become their greatest assassin.

sorry, but i HATED daredevil. affleck is a monotone lump of wood in the role, and i never bought that the romance would become that strong over so short a time (add the fact that he's blind into the bargain, even less likely). and the villains were lame... michael clarke duncan smiled too much, and bullseye didn't get enough to do. the story was stretched to buggery over the film, i can't concievably think of how they could blag it for another movie. daredevil as a concept just bores me, and elektra, going on the film and not the comics, is pretty dull too.

i think they should leave it to spidey and the x-men. incidentally, the X2 trailer was more amazing and satisfying than the whole of daredevil. DullDevil more like.

I am looking forward to both of these movies. I loved DAREDEVIL (9/10) and Jennifer Garner was one of my favorite parts of it. I can't wait for both of the movies, they are gonna rock!

All i know is Bullseye has GOTTA be back for one of them, but which one? Id say Elektra because they still got a score to settle, and he would prob be pissed to find out that shes still alive.

What do u all think? Bullseye for Elektra and Kingpin and a new underling for DareDevil?

Thank god they're bringing Elektra back. Her death was so freaking lame. !!!!!SPOILERS!!!!
Cut in the throat with a playing card by Bullzeye (who's this guy think he is anyway? Gambit?)
And then running her through with her own dagger (Come on with her own weapon, that's just not the right way for a main character to die even if it wasn't an intregal part of the film.)

Who didn't see that coming ?
They should make a movie about Bullseye like there making one about Riddck from Pitch Black. That'd be cool ... but it won't happen ...

Daredevil was horrible.

Elektra movie? Uh... I guess. In the comics she's supposed to be an assassin right? This movie could basically be Alias: The Movie.

I'm looking forward to Daredevil 2, DD was a fun popcorn movie in my opinion, and a sequel would be good. As for Elektra Lives, I'm not all that excited, though some T & A by Jennifer Garner would be very nice indeed.

I caught the hint to Elektra still being alive. It was pretty well done I think, nice end to the movie.

Looking forward to the Elektra movie as I think Garner rocked out the role.

good idea it should spin off into an Elektra movie, just like in the comic book series.
