Her arm, that is. After a quick marriage and quicker break-up, Jolie is erasing her past...mistakes by getting rid of that "Billy Bob" tattoo she has. Hmm...makes you wonder if people should maybe get to know each other better before getting married and getting tattoos sporting each other's names, eh?

From http://www.imdb.com/ :

Jolie Surgically Removes Thornton
Angelina Jolie is removing the final remnants of husband Billy Bob Thornton from her life - the tattoo of his name she sports on her arm is being eradicated by laser surgery. The sexy Tomb Raider star is currently in the latter stages of divorcing The Man Who Wasn't There star, who she split with last year, and does not want anything left that will remind her of their brief marriage. She says, "I have moved on - that's why it's going. As you can see, it's in the process of being removed from my arm right now. There are just a few laser treatments to go now before it's completely gone."

the reason they broke up:

Jolie fund billy bob with another women's vile of blood around his neck.

They showed a close-up of it on E! News Live the other night when she attended a premier in a sleeveless dress. The name's gone but the dragon's still there (for now, though I think it looks good on its own...she should leave it). It looks pretty scarred up and the skin's puckered and white. I guess it's true what I've heard - they haven't yet perfected a flawless method of tattoo removal.

lol. I had my boyfriend's name (now my husband) tatooed on my hip when we were just dating. The tattoo artist warned against it but I was adamant.

It is just his lower-case initials 'jew' with no periods or anything between the letters. So if anything DID happen (knock on wood) at least I could just say I am an avid supporter of the jewish race.

my liscense plate on my car says 'jewlover'. I hope I don't die in a carbomb....ha. ;)

Tattoos on anybody, but especially females, are a major turn-off.

Just proves to me her skank quotient is off the charts.

Thanks ALOT Grebdron...you sure know how to make a girl feel skanky....lol:D

Seriously though, you wouldnt be just the tiniest bit turned on if a girl had your initials or name tattooed on her body in some inconspicuos place where noone else would see it? Wouldnt have the SLIGHTEST inclination to kiss it?

Well, my sister-in-law has a small dolphin tattoed on her ankle, and it's not hideous. I have never dated a girl w/ a tattoo. It just does nothing for me. Maybe something small, somewhere inconspicuous. But I don't think I'd have any ansatiable desire to kiss it. Unless it was...you know...strategically placed.;)

Yeah, I think you would. My husband hates tattoos on girls but even he couldnt resist.

Speaking of 'strategically placed', what are Angelina's fingers pinching there? :D Is she hiding the fact that she's cold or just trying to hook the cameraman?

I personally would never invite Angelina into my bed. I've got standards, and a woman much more beautiful than her who loves me. Wouldn't need it.

She's probably scratching a rash.

Taken out of context, Greb. I said if a girl you loved DID get a tattoo of your name on her body somewhere, I doubt it would turn you off to the point that you'd kick HER out of bed.

Very sweet comment about your lady, by the way. :D

I agree. Nothing against anyone with a tatoo, but I prefer my ladies without tatoos. They look ugly to me.

This pic is from the BAFTA awards. I caught the rebroadcast on BBC America last night. Angelina was a presenter, and she looked wonderful. I love those blue eyes and that great smile she has.

i think its funny when people get tattoos of peoples names on their arms (unless its like their kids or something) cause when they break up or get a divorce, they have to remove it. just makes me laugh

I kinda dig tattoos. Never get one myself, because I don't like writing anything ON me, but a friend of mine's got one and it looks badass. And the to-be girlfriend (soon to be just short "girlfriend") has got a few ideas for cool tattoos, and they'd look just GORGEOUS on her.

I think tatoos can look smoking hot, you know one tatoo. A girl I know has one just above her arse...I'm always dropping things on the floor for her to pick up. :)

By the way Angelina looked hot as hell at the Bafta's, never really liked her that much before but if you guys rememeber I did the hottest actress thread voted by us Schmoes and she was the winner. Now I'm starting to see why.

Call me a skank then. Sad how people are still judging others they don't know personally on outward appearances, and just on a simple tattoo no-less.

Good thing for you they're just opinions, and there are millions of guys out there who dig them. I, personally, don't.

From the female end of the spectrum....guys w/ tatoos are smokin' HOTTTTT. As long as the tattoos are strategically placed.

My favorite places to see tattoos on a guy are neck (right along that standout muscle), forearm, and lower leg. I am not a fan of stomach or back tattoos and I don't like color. Black tattoos only please. Words are preferred. Pics are ok if they are well done and not a stencil.

I know a few tattoo artists, as you've probably guessed and therefore am slightly biased. I think you can tell alot about a man from his tattoos and I think it shows they aren't afraid of commitment. That's my take on it.

Of course I'm also not stupid and can always tell the difference between a well thought out tattoo that means something to the person or one that was administered in a drunken stupor. And those people DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE! :D

happy OUT here

Angelina had the dragon BEFORE it read Billy Bob! She just removed the name.

As a girl, I like small tattoos....my girlfriend and I have matching ones on the shoulder. About the size of a quarter.

I envy Angelina, in a way...she's a chick who's got 10 tattoos. I'm a chick, and I've wanted to get a tattoo for years. But I was always held back by the fact that A) IT'S PERMANENT!, B) whatever I choose may go out of fashion later in life, and C) IT'S PERMANENT (unless I want a scarred, lazered piece of skin...see my above post). Laugh all you like, but I dated a guy who had Luke Skywalker's face tattooed on one shoulderblade and Darth Vader's mask tattooed on the other. I thought that was cool, and wanted Feyd Rautha Harkonnen's or Muad'Dib's face tattooed on one of my shoulders. I just haven't found a tattoo artist who's as into sci-fi as I am.

(PS: Siren, I think your tat looks well cool. Nice one.)

Angelina Jolie is beautiful and a very talented actress... And for some strange reason, I kind of liked her with Billy Bob Thornton, after the initial 'ew' period... They were cute together, although it was naive of her to get the tattoo considering both their records... As for tattoos being a turn-off, I think it depends on the person and tattoo... usually they're a turn-on for me, to be honest.
