The song that they played on American Idol 2 from the movie sounded pretty cool IMO. As for the posters, I like Poster #2 it resembles a traditional movie poster ad. Also, Kelly hair needs to be routched. It looks weird. Poster #1 would be for the Video/DVD Ad. Poster #3 (Accccck!)

In retrospect, this highlights the whole American Idol contest. They had C talent generating A-calibur audiences because of its novel concept of interactivity. With the film, they are trying to do the same thing by getting their audience to intract with the film in the same way.

The poster solidifies that belief.

Of the 3 posters, I like the First poster the best, but it is still totally unoriginal.

The third poster is extremely awful, with Kelly and Justin's arms dramatically extended in the air. Puhleeze!

Although I will see the film out of curiosity, it is a horrible idea IMO. Kelly is talented as hell and I have this feeling that the film is going to do more harm than good to her career!

You know I was just on IMDB and just read that and thought EXACTLY the same thing. This movie was made for one reason and one reason only. To make money. To cash in on the huge popularity and success of American Idol. That frankly pisses me off even more than when studios do it all the time with sequals. I will still give it a chance because as a movie fanatic I like to give ALL movies, no matter how asinine they look, a try. I saw a test screening of it two weeks ago and let me tell you it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Yes the story is kind of cheesy but the good musical sequences make up for it. Kelly and Justin's acting isn't so bad and the movie gave me a good way to spend a good hour and a half.

Be open-minded and you'll see it is a fun mindless movie.

Guys the movie was pushed to June 20th because the demand was higher than expected and the movie will be screened on a bigger number of screens.

I've seen the movie and let me tell you it is good. It won't win academy awards but it's not as bas as some people think it will be.

It's a fun movie and the musical sequences rock.

This kind of a musical for the kids/teen generation. It could be considered the Grease of our generation IMO. It's cheesy but so much fun !

By moving this film up against The Hulk, Fox is just dooming it even more to failure because The Hulk will be huge obviously. Who would see a quickly produced film made to cash in on a fad over a film starring an Academy Award Winner and directed by Ang Lee, of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon fame? I have seen clips from it and it DOES look awful. However, I will give this a film a try and will watch it with an open mind. My expectations aren't high but I DO hope it's not as bad as it looks. Afterall, I certainly don't want it to be bad but so far everything about it makes it seem like it will be bad. But once again, having said that I will still give it a fair try.

By the way, at first the movie was supposed to open on only 1200 screens but in the last two weeks, theaters got a lot of calls concerning the movie so they ordered more copies and the movie will now open in over 2500 screens.

The movie was delayed until June 20th because this was a last minute decision and theaters needed more time to get their copies and reserve a screen for it.

I'm saying the movie won't win any academy awards, but contrary to what a lot of you are thinking, a lot of people want to see it and I'm sure it will be a moderate success.

You've got Kelly Clarkson in a bikini singing in dolby surround sound with a lot of other eye candy, how can it go wrong ? :)

I have seen those clips and, let me tell you, the last time I laughed that hard was when I watched Black Mask 2 (the worst movie I have ever seen). The acting from those two in those clips were among some of the worst performances I have ever seen on a camera. Take a look at those clips and see for yourself. Since you don't have to pay anything for them, its worth the investment. HILARIOUS!!

I genuinely hope that this film fails. The last thing that we need is more shit like this to be flowing into Hollywood.
