Question about Halloween 5...

Ok I saw this last night and It Was just as bad as most of you had mentioned in other topics...but I got a feww questions:

1-Who the hell was that man in dressed in black trench coat and with that tatoo in his hand? He appears all through out the film and even frees Michael Myers from prison at the ending of the movie..but nothing is mentioned about him afterwards. I dont remember him from anyother films..who the hell was he? What was his reason of being there? Why did he have the same tatoo in the hand and Michael?

2-What did loomis mean about The little girl being able to control Michaels Rage? In one scene Loomis says that, that is the reason why he is looking for her.

3-What the hell happened to jamie in the OTHER Halloween films she seem to be non existent after being given all that importance in those two films..(parts 4 and 5)


If any of you can answer this Ill be forever thankfull...I saw part 6 like a gazillion years ago, maybe these questions are answered there but I dont remember them being answered on that film...??

Well Lil' Jamie had Telepathic powers w/ Michael. It shows in the beginning. The guy in Black is the Thorn dude from Pt. 6, have you even seen it??? It revolves around him/Thorn cult...

I think i have some answers for ya Spacemonkey,even though Its been a long time for me seeing part 5.

SPOILERS

The Screenwriters would have us believe that the man in black is Dr Wynn from the 1st Halloween.The tatoo is the mark of Thorn,a cult that is manipulating Michael,and wants to harness the power he has.

I don't know what Loomis ment by that,but in the original version of halloween 6,Michael is supposed to rape Jamie,passing the Thorn curse/rage to her child.Thats my asumption.

The Producers killed her off in part 6,and then proceeded to denie that 4-6 ever happened.Idiots.Daneille Harris was gonna return for #6,but the cheapo producer only wanted to pay her scale!I think she should return.

As a whole,I think Halloween 5 could have been more than it turned out to be if the producers had gave a shit about the script and the budget.

yeah part 5 had a bunch of stupid SUB PLOTS which were basicly tied up with more SUB PLOTS in PART 6. its confussing so re-watching it over might help or just forgeting the whole thing happend (which H20 and RESURRECTION did)

Well thanx for the helpfull info, guess i shouldve rented Holloween 6 before posting this questions. BUT one thing..Loomis said that Jamie could control Michaels rage wich sort of perplexed me. It gave me the idea that she could some how control his anger, somehow control michael make him kill or not kill.

Anyhows this film had a bunch of weird stuff in it for a halloween movie anyway, it sort of played around a lot with what we knew about Michael Myers or rather screwed everything up in a way..

Totally agree with you I enjoyed season of the witch a heck of a lot more then this snore fest. I mean the whole first HOUR of the movie is a big set up for the last 30 min...and where did they dig up these annoying characters?! jeez...

Ok I finally saw part six BUT I still got more questions.

Aside from the fact that this movie LOOKs cool as hell and Michael looks more menacing then ever and that it has some decent acting..this film left me a little confused.

Ok now I know who the black trench coat guy was, I know about the Thorn cult. i know what happens to Jamie (bastards just killed her off), I know what the tatoo was all about, BUT it seems to me that this movie just made more unanswerable questions.

First of I dont get what the Thorn cult really wants with Michael. Supposedly they want to control him, but this wasnt all that clear in the film. First they are interested in Jamies baby and then they are interested in that other little kid. Why do they want these children? They hint something about Dna manipulation and genetical manipulation, but only vaguely.

What were they doing to jamies baby on that operating table? They dont explain.

And where the Hell is Jamie Lee Curtis dammit? Did she just dissapear of the face of the earth? I know shes on H20 and that shes a teacher but where the hell has she been all this time? I mean she did have a daughter...

And if Jamie could control Michaels anger..why didnt she do it this time? What about her phycic connection, did it just go to hell?

See what I mean this movie, didnt answer anything and parts 7 and 8 just ignored the whole thing. Can anyone give me any pointers as to the answwers to any of these questions/

find the producer's cut, its better. i think that danny is supposed to sacrifice steven and then become the new mike(?). jaimie's character was written off in pt. 4 sayin she died in a car crash. but apparently she went into the witness protection program as H20 points out.i love halloween but boy thorn was a bad idea. it even seemed like that the writers knew it was a bad idea cuz by 6 they stopped caring wether it made any sense or not. thank god for H20 and Resurrection!
