Out of what I've seen, Heat is the best. One of my personal favorites as well.
I also enjoyed Donnie Brasco and The Insider, but they're not his finest work, certainly not his best performances.

If I'm not allowed to say Godfather trilogy (:(), then I'll say Scarface. No matter how much I think that movie was overrated, he was great in the role. I have yet to see Dog Day Afternoon though

I liked Scent Of A Woman the most though. I liked Insomia, and I havent seen Scarface in a long damn time. I havent seen any others, I must catch up.

I love the guy and his career speaks for itself. Some of the greatest movies of all time. Outisde of the Gadfather, my favorite movies are probably Heat, Insider and Dog Day Afternoon.
But, the Al Pacino performance that has stuck with me the most, is Lucky from Donnie Brasco. Pacino played a loser and it broke my heart when he knew Donnie had duped him. I thought this was a great performance.

Scarface. A disturbing yet really powerful film that I would not want to see again, but I cannot deny the fact that the movie is GREAT!
Dog Day Afternoon - 8/10
The Insider - 4/10 (Looked great, had good performances but was just so damn boring)
Heat - 7.5/10
Glengarry Glen Ross - Haven't seen it
Scarface - 9/10
Serpico - Not seen this either, just kill me now.
Insomnia - 6 or 7/10, need to rewatch it
Donnie Brasco - 8/10
Carlito's Way - 8/10

No one thinks - William Friedkin's CRUISIN warrants a mention in Pacino's top 10?????
Easily one of his best and most full on charecterization's....PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK is also IMO one of his ten best.....
My personal fave is SCARFACE and DOG DAY AFTERNOON
