Who do you consider to be the most annoying character from any movie ever made? My vote goes to Dinah, the blind girl from Stephen Kings "The Langloliers". I watched this god-awful piece of shit today (first movie to ever get a 0/10 from me) and I wanted to just strangle her from the moment I heard her annoying voice. SPOILERS AHEAD!: I actually screamed out "YES YES YES" when Craig Toomey stabbed her. Then on the plane when she died, I actually clapped my hands. I was so glad to see her annoying ass gone!!! So, who gets your vote?

The kid who's supposed to be the "hero" of BEN annoyed the living shit out of me. He lies his butt off about ever seeing any rats, knowing full well they're the ones that have been killing people all over the town, then runs around like a maniac and wonders why his heart hurts so much. In a general sense...this was the most annoying kid in the history of child stars.

The blonde vampire from BLADE... I stood up and cheered when she got her head blown off.

Piper Perabo in COYOTE UGLY... they had to pick the least unattractive girl with an annoying high-pitched voice in the cast to be the main character.

David Schwimmer in KISSING A FOOL... he's supposed to be playing a womanizing asshole, but I'm so used to seeing him play geeky Ross that whenever he said a bad word it sounded incredibly forced.

Jake Lloyd in THE PHANTOM MENACE... this kid can't act for shit and his corny lines didn't help.

The little brother in JUMANJI... I hate kids in movies that don't talk. I wanted to slap this little brat silly.

Tom Green in pretty much anything... I HATE THIS GUY.

David Arquette in the SCREAM movies... he's a moron trying to be cool. Doesn't work.

Nicolas Cage in CON AIR... the southern accent was unbearable. This guy was so wooden (and untouchable) that he might as well have been played by Steven Seagal. Oh, and then there's the cheesy dialogue...

Actually, I could get through THE PHANTOM MENACE without too much of a problem, though he is incredibly annoying.

HOWEVER

The character who NEARLY made me shut off the film, was AUDREY HEPBURN in My Fair Lady. OH G-- I could not STAND her with the annoying British accent (the only British one I've come across that I didn't like, and normally I love a good Brit accent). The movie came real close to residing in the bottom of my trash can. And I thought Hepburn was quite the actress till I saw that movie.

Philip Seymour Hoffman in Red Dragon. There was no-one I would have liked to have seen more superglued to a wheelchair and set on fire.

Joseph Fiennes in just about anything, but I'll focus on Elizabeth. Superb film, but that pathetic brooding look he has for three quarters of the film looks more like a facial spasm.

As much as I love the film, I cannot abide Brenda Blethyn in Secrets and Lies. For the first fifteen minutes, she's superb, but when the voice becomes high-pitched and every other word is "sweetheart," I'm ready to throw something.

Spencer Treat Clark in Gladiator. I hate kid actors as it is, but ones with awful fake English accents and slightly andrgynous features rile me all the more.

I agree with all of these!

Phillip Seymour Hoffman i usually really like (well, not necessarily the characters he plays, but as an actor i think he's superb) but god that character in Red Dragon was such a shit! I was happy he went down in flames too!

Joseph fiennes is a terrible actor and chooses terrible roles - or maybe he's just so bad i just presume it's a script fault - or the casting director's!(i much prefer his brother Ralph who is not only much better looking but can act to boot!) Joseph should admit defeat and move on! Despite me just saying all that i am a little worried about Ralph's career after seeing trailers for Maid In Manhattan! Still, maybe Spider will get him off the hook!

Brenda Blethyn annoys me in everything she does - it seems she's always playing a variation on the same character - a whiny old hag! (i just realised how mean i sounded - oh screw it, i'm on a roll!)

Don't even get me started on Spencer Treat Clark - that kid is an insult to 'child actors'! (notice i use that term loosely) He is unbearably bad in Gladiator and ugly too! I bet he gets beat up at school he's so poncy! Oh wait, he probably has a tutor 'on set' because he's going to be a 'serious actor' one day. Phooey!

OK thats me about as bitchy as i get - i'm sorry i havent slept all night and i'm a grumpy-bum :(

I could not agree with you more. I LOATHE most child actors but Spencer Treat Clark, OH GOD!!! Oh how I wanted to snap his neck at his pathetic attempt at "acting" in GLADIATOR.

On the other hand, ANY character played by Jake Lloyd (he's the one child actor that's worse than Spencer), Barrett Oliver, Noah Hathaway, Mac Culkin, Erik per Sullivan or Frankie Muniz are very, VERY fucking annoying.

Gollum

People marvel at how life-like he looks, (including myself), but he's just a little too over-the-top with his theatrics and his huge, shiny, glinting eyes trying to look as emotional as possible. If a real actor acted like that, people would be calling him the biggest overactor ever. Compared to this character, Jim Carrey looks like a model of subtelty. Let's see, who does his performance remind me of? Hmmm? I just don't know. Are there any other overacting CG characters that border on nauseating? *cough*Jar-Jar*cough*. I wanted to slap Philip Seymour Hoffman's character in Twister. That movie sucked & I haven't seen it since the theater but his character was so annoying I can still picture his spastic, flayling around actions.

I also wanted to slap (even pummell) Rosemary's husband in Rosemary's Baby. That was even before you found out he was part of the geriatric satanic cult.

Same goes for Ike, the older trouble maker in the bad guys gang in Tombstone. He was a total wussy that always mouthed off. To top it all off he's like the last bad guy standing & surrenders instead of getting blown away.

Ducky & James Spader's character in Pretty in Pink.

I am in no way a LORT nerd - good, fun movies though they are - but I thought Andy Serkis' acting was only behind the two Ians' and Christopher Lee. Over-the-top? Not for mine; wonderfully portrayed the twisted, tortured Gollum in my eyes.

Most annoying IMO is Jar-Jar. My hopes for a decent prequel to the original saga faded, the minute I saw and heard him on screen. Fucker represented a real slap in the face to those who grew up with the original SW films.

Most over-the-top IMO is Dobby from the Harry Potter movies. Now THERE'S some seriously cringe-worthy over-acting. Only JUST second in annoyance to Jar-Jar. Can't see any sign of him in the cast for the third Potter movie. So I got that going for me.

I think there was a movie called Flood, and in it there was a little girl who kept whining, "my arm hurts." I wanted to smack her.

Example of annoying yet strangely enjoyable: Olive Neal (Jennifer Tilly) in Bullets Over Broadway.

Anybody Orlando Bloom plays, but especially Paris in Troy. Not to spoil anything, but that ending pissed me off like no other in a loooooong time.

Are you kidding he was Arnold Schwarznegger compared to that nancy boy Elliott Carver from Tommorrow Never Dies.

Todd Bossley.

Not particulary a character, but I'm sure he acts the same off the screen. If you don't have the slightest clue who I'm talking about, have a glance in the 'Celebrities You Want To Fight' thread. You'll find a nice pic of the twat there.

Everyone except The Blair Witch in BWP. All that screaming and hollering...I thought I was gonna rip my hair out! Thank God I didn't waste 8 bucks on that crap at the movie theater!

Tad, the little whiny brat in Cujo, who grew up to be whiny brat Jonathan on Who's The Boss.

The prissy jealous blond dude in Bachelor Party

The monster mom in Sleepwalkers (so glad the cats kicked her ass)!

Except for Big Daddy, every character Adam Sandler has played

Ace Ventura

The slacker convict guys in Raising Arizona

Everyone in Titanic

Sho'Nuff in Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon (and I love that movie)!

Any character played by Paris Hilton in future movies

That's all I can think of right now!

Thankyou. I was sitting throughout that entire movie thinking the same thing. Her character was so annoying.

And also, of course, the infamous Jar Jar Binks...

No one should diss the Shogun of Harlem!!!

Now, Kiss his Converse!!!

Sorry I just watched that movie again, and I love it.

Anyways, the token comedic black guy Cooper from Event Horizon annoyed the shit out of me. All he did was say annoying lines over and over again and he looked extremely out of place in a dark movie like that. The daughter from Pet Sematary is insanely annoying as well.

Agreed with Orlando Bloom in every role and with Tess Ocean in Ocean's Eleven.

Plus, I hated Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) in Pretty Woman. As well as the movie itself.

Basically everyone from American History X (mostly Ethan Suplee's character and Fairuza Balk's character)

Jar Jar (of course)

Mickey Rooney's character in Breakfast at Tiffany's (what the fuck was up with that?)

Paulie the bird from Paulie

The chick from Temple of Doom

What ranks up there for me is Aunt May from Spiderman movies. Don't get me wrong, I love the movies, but she just annoys me. She's always whining. Every scene she's in she is teary eyed and talking about Uncle Ben. Gets on my nerves. She looks constipated in every scene. I get exhausted watching her, like I just finished running ten laps around the damn auditorium.

Mathilda from Leon. If Natalie Portman was supposed to play an annoying, arrogant, stupid little girl, then she should have won an oscar. All she did the entire movie was fuck Leon over and try to convince him to have sex with a minor. I thought I'd love this movie, but Mathilda ruined it for me. I liked Jean Reno's character a lot, but I can't figure out why he cared about this annoying little girl so much. It was almost funny how she thought she was so much better than the rest of her family but was really just like them...

OMG... I just saw Spiderman 2 last night and I 100% agree with you, although I'm still not sure if it's annoying acting or annoying writing. Probably both.
