I remember reading a shitload of great reviews of this horror movie when it arrived on video in the UK. It sat on the shelf in my video store for a couple of years without me making a move to rent it. I left it too late and it was sold in a sell through clear out. It's now out on DVD and i'm just wondering whether any schmoes have seen it? Is it as good as the reviews suggested? I remember reading at the time that there were some pretty nasty scenes of eye trauma in the movie. Eye mutilation is one of the few things that still makes me flinch (I recently watched Zombie Flesh Eaters on DVD and could feel the butterflys gathering in my stomach as it got closer to the splinter in the eye scene). Are the eye mutilation scenes in this movie worse than the one in Zombie (I don't know how they could be though)?

Zelda Rubinstein????????? Dear God, I'd never be able to muster up the will power to sit through this film. "I have the powah!"

Yeah. That was a contributing factor in my not hiring the movie. I've since read that her performance in Anguish is pretty damn good. It's actually directed by acclaimed Spanish director Bigas Lunas which is one of the reasons i'm now interested. I've seen a few of his movies and the guy has talent.

Well, I might be able to tolerate her just as long as she doesn't slide into Tangina mode. Who isn't in the mood for retinal damage?

I've seen it, I wasn't to impressed, from what I remember it's pretty boring, it takes some stupid plot turns.

There is a review of it in Hysteria ( no more updates for this site, that makes me sad )
What do you think of Nowhere To Hide and Shiri ( two Korean - movies, actionners )
NTH is very stylish and it is an author movie that's for sure.
Do u like Idlewild Psychocandy ? I own 100 Broken Windows and it is very good ! I am very rock and roll !

I intend to see both Nowhere To Hide and Shiri soon as I can. I'll likely order them from Hong Kong next time i'm buying a bunch of DVDs.

What made you ask if i'm an Idlewild fan? I am. But what made you ask? I have all of their albums including their debut mini-album Captain. The only one I haven't got yet is the new one but i'll be correcting that pretty soon as i'm going to see them live supporting Coldplay on October 4th in Glasgow. I hate seeing a band live if i'm not familiar with the material and their set will likely consist of a lot of songs from their new album.

Because your are Scotish and I think u said you like Idlewild in a former post.
Great Britain has some very good bands u can be proud !! Oasis ( yes, it is a really good band, I am listening Be Here Now, I mean The album ) Idlewild, Massive Attack, Travis ( a bit too smooth but still cool ) Cold Play, Stereophonics ( very good band from Wales )
Catatonia, Garbage ( well the singer is from Scotland ) etc ....
Psychocandy u look as open - minded as me I think u will appreciate NTH ( an author movie but really really great !!! )
