I heard the Extras were pretty good, along with the film itself. But is it worth 20 dollars/tax?
Please reply!

Definitely. Some folks at certain horror sites have been hyping this one up a little too much, like it's the second coming of horror or whatever...and it's not. If you come in expecting some groundbreaking, piss your pants scary classic, you're gonna be disappointed.
But it IS a lot of fun, with great atmosphere and some really nasty bits. It's a "serious" horror film that doesn't take itself too seriously, if that makes any sense. And the monsters are cool. If that kinda stuff floats your boat, buy it.

the movies ok. not worth $20+ though. i would rent the dvd instead. the special features are again ok but not interesting enough to pay 20$ for. the story is good but at times it bored the shit outta me. id give it a 6/10.

Many have been claiming that Dagon is the best Lovecraft adaptation in existence, topping even Re-Animator (!), but that statement is a tad too bold. It's far from perfect, but solid in its own right. The pacing is charged, the cinematography is luscious (rain, rain, and more rain), and our fishy villains have a unique charm about them. I wouldn't pay twenty bucks for it, but you need to rent it. If you can get past the uneven acting, a smidgen of atrocious CGI, and a slightly muddled storyline, then you’ve got yourself some top-notch entertainment. If only Gordon went with Combs for the lead instead of a pale version of Combs.
