Nightmare On Elmstreet Movies?

These movies scrared me when i was a young horror fan but now there just ok. I can watch these movies forgetting what happens next and still not be scared. My Fav was the first one cuz it was the start of the elmstreet story. But now i think there taking it to far freddy/jason. Come on why. Anyway i was wondering what of the elmstreet fans or critics out there thought of this series of movies.

I would have to say that I enjoyed all of them excpet parts 2 and 7. I really didnt like them at all. 7 just bored me pissless and confused me to boot. 2 is just to homoerotic for me. sorry. the rest are entertaining, if i had to choose i'd say 3 is the best. I just think thats the best.

as a series NOES is ok. it has alot of weak links (2,5,6), some kinda strong links (4,7) and 2 solid links (1,3). overall none of these flicks are scary anymore cuz ive seen em all a bunch of times. i think the series could have been better if new line had waited more then a year to release a new one. by pt. 5 its pretty obvious they that ran out of ideas awhile ago. i liked 7 cuz it was the only one since pt 3 really, that they took the time to think out clearly. even though the ending sucks. this isnt the worst series out there but it sure aint the best.

I love All of them! I don't like the 6th and 4th all that much but they're all VERY Good! Lots Of Fun! 1 and 3 are my Favorites. I think the F13th Series by far surpasses this one as F13ths are my Favorite Horrors, but wadda ya gonna do?

The only non-Wes Craven Elm Street movie that doesn't totally suck is part 3. The rest are worthless.

Ok, but could you uh tell me what Part(s) is/are Homo-Erotic, All I remember that comes to mind is the towel slapping and well, gym class in general that has no place in the movie.

i know but the point is he left his girlfriend to sleep with a dude. his reasoning doesnt matter. its subtle things like this that over the years have caused folks to question jesse's sexuality.

Exactly, I think people are looking a little too into the movie. Jesse went to that guy's house so that if Freddy was released the friend could kick his ass. The girl might not have been as effective.Granted, the guy wasn't effective but how would Jesse know. Also, the gay bar was just something funky for a dream. All dreams are wierd and different(flaming dog urine, anyone?) As far as the coach's death is concerned it seemed like Freddy was enjoying watching him suffer so he decided to "play" around with him a bit. But hey, movies are movies and they deserve to be interpreted.

I can't see why most people HATE Part 2 , I thought it was pretty kool , we get my favorite line from the whole series ... "I'm just trying to help you man." .. "HELP YOURSELF FUCKER!" (Feddy slashes guy with his claw.) That was classic.

okay maybe but i never liked part 2 i could never give any reasons why it just felt so horrible and worthless. i still think it's one of the worst ever. but really ive seen much much worse. but it does suck bad.

When I first saw part 2 I thought it was pretty good. But then I read about it on this board and now I dont like it. Damn you all. jk,but ya,part 2 is pretty damn gay and I aint up for gay movies.

I've only seen the 1st, 3rd, and part of the 2nd of these series. I remember the first one really creeped me out, after the first week I saw it, along with the 3rd (which didn't seem as good.) I'm hoping to watch the rest of the series soon.
