For years I passed over this album in favour of many other critically acclaimed classics. I finally buckled just last week when it achieved a sixth place position on NME's list of the top 100 albums. I wish I had bought it years ago. It's a masterpiece and utterly deserving of it's high placing on the list. I seriously recommend that any schmoes who don't own this give some serious thought to adding it to their collection asap. Especially schmoes who are fans of melodic sixties music. There are so many bands I like whose music contains elements that surely must have been influenced by this album.

Plus - these guys are still gigging (new guitarist I think but Arthur Lee is still kicking). They're not my cup of tea but my bro reliably informs me that they were one of the best gigs he's ever been to (and he's been to lots!) :)

I bought this album when it was re-released two years ago and instantly fell in love with it. It's a masterpiece and one of my ten favourite sixties albums. Unfortunately, LOVE's "Forever Changes" is the band's only brilliant album and I was a bit disappointed by most of their later works.

Yeah...i've read that this is was their sole moment of inspiration. Bummer...it's a fucking amazing album. Still...i'd rather have one album this good than the entire Beatles catalogue.
