Anyone see this awesome flick? I just watched it for the first time today and I have to say it was a full blown unique experience. This may have one fo the best screenplays of all time.
The movie takes place in a Marine insane asylum. I can't talk much about the story due to the many twists and spoilers that litter the film but I can tell you that this movie should be heralded as a classic not as the obscure gem it is. If you love mind Fuck movies step right up and give this one a try.

"You can't do Shakespeare with DOGS!"
Tremendous movie - I get tired of recommending it to people!

Heard so little, but always positive about it, I am desperate to see it, but can't find it anywhere. Same for GODS AND MONSTERS.

You can find gods and monstrs at most best buys. (A movie which I LOVE by the way)
I found the ninth configuration at Barnes and Noble but I know they have it at amazon.com for sure.

Thought I'd dust off this tired old thread and *bumpity bump* it right up to the top.
I've seen it four times now...and it gets better with every viewing.
The scene in the bar is just un-fucking-believable, the first time I saw it I was gnawing my nails like a mad heed...plus Kane's speech about the goodness inside all men is sensational.
The screenplay is pretty flawless, and like a big monster-sized Dyson...each and every performance sucks you in.
10/10 - a GEM, and I thank both of ya for spreading the good word.

Former Schmoe The Pro used to tell me to see this all the time, as he said that it was, in his opinion, the second best film of all time.

Wise words. Now go Lynn out into the world and find a copy. Then go home, unplug the phone, and watch this movie. It's worth it.

Some of the smartest exchanges of all-time. Funny and intelligent. I count the opening scenes as my third favourite of all-time:
"There's nothing up there. Nothing!"
Particularly like the discussions about God, but the humour is also very funny. I'm thinking in particular of Powers Boothe explaining why on Earth he should be smahing the wall with a hammer, and the first exchanges between Psychiatrist and patient:
"Forces too numerous to enumerate"
If you have not seen this, I'll burn you a copy.
