Er, who's your favorite Beatle?

And please discuss instead of list, I don't want this to be closed.:D

My favorite Beatle and artist in general is John Lennon. He had the most powerful voice, the most interesting lyrics, and he wasn't a half bad guitarist, either. And you can rag on Yoko Ono all you want, Linda Eastman broke up The Beatles.:p

Ringo was my favorite when I was very young, I just thought he was the cutest. But once I got older John Lennon became my favorite. He was a great lyricist, he had a very interesting life, he was controversial... both his life and his death made an impact on me.

My favorite is John Lennon. He was a brilliant songwriter and lyricist, both with The Beatles and away from them.

Paul and George are tied for second place...they both had verve, talent and style.

Ringo is great for jokes.

John Lennon. Without him they might have never taken LSD and made such wonderful contributions to the world

well, we'e discussing MUSIC and Paul was the one that wrote the best and most intricate MUSIC (which is what a great band is about). Great lyrics are a lot less interesting to me than great MUSIC. So, Paul McCartney is the man.

My favorite Beatle is Pete Best ;)....(anyone remember him? He was the first drummer before Starkley)

Seriously, that would be the man, John Lennon.

I've always liked the Beatles ever since i was little, Yellow Submarine my fav song at age 7. About 4 or 5 years ago, I discovered Lennon's solo work, and fell in love. Other than the obvious, his lyrics inspired many in a chaotic time. Lennon voice was heard loud and clear, and later got him executed by the US government (but thats a whole other topic). Songs like John Sinclair, Working Class Hero, Women is the N***** of the World, Power to the People, God, Give Peace a Chance... the list goes on and on.

I'd go as far to say that there hasn't been (and never will be) an artist with as much raw musical talent than him, and I include Dylan, Clapton, and Jagger.

If you Lennon was a pile of shite, that's okay. But what you can't deny is the impact he had on music, politics, and humanity.

George Harrison. I was upset the day he died. That night I was at The Charlatans gig and Starsailor were in support. They played Good Souls with a backdrop of George and everyone went absolutely crazy...

Fantastic.

It'd HAVE to be George Harrison for me.

I'm not partial to Paul, he irritates me no end.

I'd elaborate, but I'm not overly keen on ANY of these chaps.

Honestly, I couldn't remember his last name. And God knows I've seen BackBeat enough times ;).

He died very young, too, and i thought ppl might know Best a bit better.

Besides, I liked Lennon a whole lot better when he was in The Quarrymen, pre-Beatles......

....ok i never heard their music, just being difficult. :p
