All I can think of right now is casting Haley Joel Osmond as the little kid who befriends Ben.

I heard in an interview that:
Willard doesnt die on this one! So my guess is that Crispin would be back if they ever made a sequel.

"Ben" is one of those sub-horror films that should NEVER get a re-make. I've sat through the original more than once, and just thinking about it makes me want to toss my toast.
"Willard" was a not-bad film, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing Crispin Glover play the part. But please, let's leave it at that.

My thoughts exactly, my friend. :cool:
The original WILLARD was an ok flick that felt like it did need an update for modern cinema. BEN was annoying as hell and should just be left alone in every way (although Crispin Glover did a fantastic job covering the song "Ben"; doesn't sound so bad when it's not coming from the mouth of an annoying seven-year-old).
