Darth Maul was disappointing ....

Star Wars Episode 1 was excellent!. There was great special effects, acting and story.
Darth Maul was boring. He lacks character. I think they could of used him more in longer fight scenes. He only pops up a couple of times and whirls his (impressive) double lightsaber around and then buggers off again.

The fighting at the end was great though!!

Ok, here I come to cause more trouble. /ubb/smile.gif Episode I was really a big let down. I wish I would have waited and saw it on video. As for Darth Maul he was good but just got the shaft in the story. He was all woopin a$$ on two jedi at the same time and gets killed by Obi in an extremely lame way!!! Whats up with that, how if he was able to fight them both off like he was, he kills Qui-Gon and then he falla for such a lame trick at the end.

I don't think Darth Maul was dissapointing at all! What was really dissapointing was the movie as a whole!! Darth Maul was supposed to be a scary mysterious charatcer which was created by not having speak much and dissapear.

Cozmic you say the acting is great??? no Way!!Jake lloyd must be the worst actor around, and to cast him as anakin was the worst casting move since...since....well, its a very bad casting move!!!

And i though Darth Maul was pretty wicked! I think that Obi oculd kill him so quickly was because he saw him kill his master, so he had a big adrenaline rush and went balistic, and sliced him in half!! WUAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

DM was the best part of the pitifully acted, over all dumb, star wars installment

star wars i had to have the WORST dialogues EVER put on film. my GOD. you wanna know the real reason why lucas didn't let anyone see the full script until they were shooting? THAT was why! he's afraid they'll flee for the hills! only AFTER they signed on were they trapped and had to actually do the damn movie.

look, i love star wars as much as the next guy, but jesus christ, if another person says star wars i has GREAT ACTING and GREAT STORYLINES i'm gonna barf.

The actors / actresses in Phantom Menace were horribly wasted. Everyone gave the worst performances of their careers. The dialogue was dull and stupid, and so was the story. In fact the only things I enjoyed in the film were the sfx and the pod race. But even they didn't manage to amaze me, like for example Matrix did at some points.

Am I the only one who thought that the fight in the end was average at it's best? Dull choreography and mediocre editing and cinematography. No tension and no fast, adrenaline pumping action either. And the way Obi-Van killed Darth Maul was really disappointing.

You're right! Star Wars Episode is OK but Darth Maul is absulutely pants!!!!! He looks really stupid and he doesn't last long at all...DARTH MAUL SUCKS!
