Does anyone else find this movie highly over rated? Yes its a good movie with good directing but it isn't excellent or anything. Now don't get me wrong or anything, I like to watch the good ol' blakc and whites but I just find this EXTREMELY over rated. So... who's with me???

I do I do. . . . .. Hitchcock is highly overrated in my opinon. To me the most unsettling thing about Hitchcock and his movies was his strange obessiveness over his leading ladies, anyone else notice this?

I can't say I agree - there are many things about Psycho that make it a great film. Hermmann's score, Saul Bass's titles. Lots of nice touches, like the awkward conversation that makes you like Norman Bates. The bit with the car in the swamp - it doesn't sink! Oh no! Phew, it's just sunk... but, you have just been hoodwinked into worrying about the fate of an evil killer. Nice one, Hitch.
