The Truman Show, even though I voted against it in the last round, is the better film. I think it works as a great social commentary with terrific, true performances. Well-done all-around.

But I'm with Colin and SubMethod on this one, I find it hard to believe Saving Private Ryan isn't in the final round. In fact, I think it should be the winner. No, wait, I think Affliction or Pleasantville should be the winner, but we all know that's impossible now...

Two of my favourite 1998 flicks...but...

The Truman Show was the best of the year IMO, but AHX is definitely in the top 5 somewhere.

Oh well, I wanted American History X to win, but what can you do, eh? Truman is decent enough, I suppose, but The Big Lebowski and AHX are far better :)

Good enough. Not my first choice, not even my second, not even my third, but an excellent film anyway and it could be worse. Tight race in the end, that's the best way to end one of these. Well-done tournament, SubMethod! You're the man!

I'm a little late in saying this, but...good tournament SubMethod. The Truman Show is a fine movie, and I'm glad it won of the two.

Yeah great tournament Sub, The Truman Show was my #2 film of 1998 (behind AMX), so it's all good!

I missed the final!!!!

However, I would have vote for Truman too, so I'm happy:D

For one time, the winner was truly the better film of the year, so this means that this tournament is way above great ;)
