I still can't believe how well BDTH held up. It is really overrated. It is kinda funny, but not hilarious by any means. I am rooting for "Daredevil" and "Willard" to move up! Come on America! Go see the *great* movies!

I didn't know that you didn't think BDTH was that great. I think I may just wait for video now anyway, since my excitement isn't as high anymore. I think the main reason it's doing so well is because it's a comedy and provides for nice escapist entertainment. Comedies have been doing really well this year, even SWIMFAN made almost 30 Million ;). Anyway, if I go to the movies I think I'd actually choose WILLARD over BDTH, which if it was a week or so ago, I think I would have chose BDTH instead of WILLARD. But my curiousity for WILLARD has grown quite a bit.

Anyway, look for BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE "AGAIN" to be released sometime in 2004 ;)...

BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE has already made enough money, it should share the wealth. WILLARD deserves to do better, because it's the smaller and better film. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE was a hit, but it doesn't need any more money, it's already made enough.

Daredevil only opened with about $45 or $46 million opening weekend.

Speaking of Willard and its Box Office, the cinema next door to me, which has 8 screens is getting rid of Willard after tonight's showings, after playing for only one week!

This never happens at this theatre. Even The Adventures Of Pluto Nash stuck around for 2 weeks, and it had a far worse opening than Willard.

My local theater usually keeps a movie at least two weeks, even ones that bomb at the Box Office. They've only gotten rid of one movie so far this year after one week and that was Gangs Of New York. And surprisingly, they kept Daredevil only two weeks, which I thought they'd have at least three.

Man, Bringing down the house sucked, why is it on top. The Hunted or Tears of the Sun should be there.

Oh news from Baghdad. 12 US marines, and 4 british soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash, not caused by any missles or shooting downs or anything.. All that preparing to JUST crash. Fuck this. Im gonna be like Aaron from The Hunted, and learn to kill. I will take the bastard out myself.

There's different kinds of overrated, and I think he means that it's overrated $$$ wise. Meaning that it's making too much money, money it doesn't deserve to make because it's not "that" good... I myself don't know if it deserves the money or not, since I haven't seen it yet, but I do think it looks funny. However, there's definitely better movies out there that deserve the money more (like Willard, for example).

It is not being lambasted by American audiences. They seem to think it is "hilarious", while I think it is mediocre and quite lame at parts.

Bringing Down The House is still going strong!

With it being a PG13 film, it may see higher Saturday and Sunday grosses than Dreamcatcher and could possibly hold onto the top spot for the 3rd weekend in a row. it probably will not, but it just might.

Dreamcatcher (a huge disappointment as far as the film goes) debuted with quite a bit lower returns than I had predicted.

Both BDTH and Dreamcatcher should gross between $16 and $18 million.

View From The Top had an okay debut, $7 million seems likely for the weekend.

Piglet's Big Movie got off to a slow start yesterday, but should pick up steam today and tommorow. $6 million seems likely.

And Boat Trip? D.O.A, just as I predicted.

"Dreamcatcher" did open a bit smaller than expected, but that is probably not the film's fault. Like Mike said, adult audiences are most likely sticking to their television sets to see if Baghdad is being bombed.

I just hope it opens higher than "Bringing Down The House" which deserves to drop big time. I am very mad it is so high, while "Willard" is not even in the damn top 10! What is it? #13?

"View From The Top" did OK.

"Piglet's Big Movie" did not have a stellar opening, but'll pick up steam and should see small drops in the week ahead.

"Boat Trip". Obviously people were not in the mood for a stupid comedy.

i was just slightly off w/ Dreamcatcher, i knew it wouldnt be that big. Damn, BDTH just wont die! Queen LATIFAH! I'm onto u!!! lol
VFTT did alright, and Piglett did pretty shitty, but of course, it will hav a big increase tomorrow
Boat Trip did just horribly, which definitely surprises me. O well, i still dont really care...

Go Bringing Down The House!!!! I loved that movie, it definitley deserves a third week at the top if the charts... It's good to see Willard out of the top 10, I was almost forced to see it today, instead my friend and I decided to see Boat Trip which was actually pretty funny.

Yeah, I think the main reason DREAMCATCHER didn't do quite as well is because of the adult audience being home. So that doesn't really leave a big audience left once you take away the adult audience. With an R rating some teens won't be able to get into it, depending on how strict their theater is. I'm sure some probably just bought tickets to something else and went to see it. Anyway, surprisingly, BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE looks like it will be #1 AGAIN!!! Man, this is getting old. I think it looks really funny and all, but we need a change, I'm sick of the same old movie being #1 three weeks in a row. That should change next weekend though. All three of the new wide releases should have a bigger gross next weekend than BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE.

PIGLET did pretty damn decent. It looks to make just under 7 Million for the weekend. It should be able to make it to around 35 Million at the Box Office by the time it's done. It will have very good legs.

VIEW FROM THE TOP opened pretty much dead on with my 7 Million prediction.

Here were my predictions for DREAMCATCHER at Lee's Movie Info:

Friday - 9.1 Million
Saturday - 9.7 Million
Sunday - 5.6 Million

Total - 24.4 Million

Man, my predictions were definitely way off...

Here's my predictions for VIEW FROM THE TOP:

Friday - 2.5 Million
Saturday - 2.9 Million
Sunday - 1.6 Million

Total - 7 Million

(Man, it's too bad the BOFC this weekend at Lee's Movie Info wasn't for VIEW FROM THE TOP, I would have at least had a chance...)

My predictions for PIGLET:

Friday - 1.4 Million
Saturday - 3.0 Million
Sunday - 2.2 Million

Total - 6.6 Million

My predictions for BOAT TRIP:

Friday - 1.4 Million
Saturday - 1.7 Million
Sunday - 0.9

Total - 4 Million
