Okay, might as well be first.
I'm looking for help finding a dance song that begins with the following two samples.
"Out of the West one stormy day, rode a gallant night. Touche"
That bits a jingle, then it samples Return Of The Jedi:
"I come unarmed, but do not underestimate my powers"
This may well be the most difficult thing I have asked anyone, so if anyone can answer it I'll be VERY grateful. How grateful? Ask me after...

Hmmm. My sample list only has 2 ROTJ samples, and neither of them is the one you mentioned. One, though, is the always great Dr. Octagon.
Could it be Lewis Parker? He's a hip-hop artist who's really big on Star Wars.
Sometimes this site gives me luck, but not today -

If you get more details, please share. I like mysteries.

No problemo.
This dance song. It seems like the word "slut" was in the name of the artist, or the song.
Anyway - The song featured a Trick Daddy sample -- from that song "Shut yo mouth" it goes, "Aha, okay, wussup? Shut up!" You know the song....
Except in the dance song I'm looking for, it's speed up, and broken apart with a synth in between.
ie. :
"Aha (synth line) okay (synth line) wussup (synth line) Shut up!"

Does anyone know the artist and/or song title for a dance song that featured sampled dialogue from John Waters' movie Serial Mom? From what I remember, some of the lines were "I'm calling the cops" and "Pig f*cker, c*cksucker"? I heard the song three times a few years ago and it was kind of catchy but also bizarre to say the least.

And they have many space-themed songs, so it could be the one used in the movie. I can't find a soundtrack listing anywhere, but some of 30stm's best songs are Jupiter, 93 Million Miles, Welcome To The Universe, Edge Of The Earth and End Of The Beginning.

As for Scrubs:

The 'Scrubs' theme is a snippet of a complete song entitled "Superman," written and performed by the group Lazlo Bane."

Jackson, I caught the section from Kings of Comedy, and I'm willing to bet that the song there is just a standard riff. I don't think it's an actual song, just something made up for that bit -- maybe there was an accompanying band there. Either way, it's not a song I'm familiar with. It sounds like the demo on a synth to be honest.
Maybe of note, Spike Lee also directed the concert film FREAK. In there, John L. danced to a standard breakdance riff. I'm now curious as to if it was the same song....

Out of 4 posts, the word "ass" has been used 3 times.
I think this is a record!!
The realjohng did nail that song a couple days ago, or something.
Anyone can jump in if they got an answer. So be sure to read through everyones posts -- if for anything to see if you know what song they are talking about.
Don't be lazy, I bet most y'all knew the answers to most the requests. Everyone join in. This is the house of love baby, and it's not all strange in here.
PS - It's also important for everyone to chip in on identifying these lyrics and stuff, because I think some bad people are after me, and I might have to hide out for a while.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's Lyle Lovett's "Nobody Loves Me Like My Baby"
It was also used in an episode of 90210 after Dylan's (Luke Perry) wife dies. That was the episode where Dylan left the show.
I remember the song because Lovett keeps talking about how he likes his breakfast.

Its NOT on the sdtk cause mostly its covers & I already looked up Imdb.com sdtk listing and NOTHING looks recognizable:(

Alright, my turn. Billy Madison. Its the song that comes on after Max gives the news that Billy payed him 5,000 bucks to pass elementary school. The kid asks Billy if hes gonna come to school on monday and billy says "That wouldnt make much sense now would it?" Then BANG, it goes into song. Im pretty sure its a Styx song, but im not 100% certain. The open words of the song in the movie are "The jig is up, the somethings out, they finally found me...."

Annie Lennox - Don't Let It Bring You Down
Old man lying by the side of the road
With the lorries rolling by,
Blue moon sinking from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky.
Cold wind ripping down the valley at dawn
And the morning paper flies,
Dead man lying by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes.
Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.
Blind man running through the light of the night
With an answer in his head.
Come on down to the river of sight
And you can really understand.
Red lights flashing through the window in the rain,
Can you hear the sirens moan ?
White cane lying in a gutter in the lane
And you're walking home alone.
Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.
Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around.
Old man lying by the side of the road

And if you saw identity what was the name of the song that is playing when "Paris" is in her car?
The song that plays in IDENTITY while Paris is driving is called "All My Life" by the Foo Fighters.
By the way anyone know the song that plays in the 28 DAYS LATER trailer. Sounds like a keyboard or a synthesizer. Really nice music that sounds something like Moby would do. Thanks.

TOM'S DINER by Suzanne Vega?
I am sitting
In the morning
At the diner
On the corner
I am waiting
At the counter
For the man
To pour the coffee
.....
"It is always
Nice to see you"
Says the man
Behind the counter
To the woman
Who has come in
She is shaking
Her umbrella

Ok, here's one. I just heard it today in a SPIN CITY episode. Michael J. Fox's last season on the show. It's an episode that's named "The Pig Whisperer" or something like that. Here's what happens in it: Paul thinks he banged Stuart's girlfriend at a concert in the 80s, the Mayor hooks up with a rapper named Smooth Daddy, and James has to win a pig-off contest with a dude.
Now here's the thing: at the very end, when James comes back to compete in the pig-off, the action goes slow-mo, with the crowd cheering, and there's this score piece that starts running. It's a classic, I've heard it in a movie before, but I just can't put a name on it.
Anyone able to help me?

Also, these are really the only lyrics in the song, they're repeated many times over.

Is that One Week by Barenaked Ladies?
Lyrics:
It's been one week since you looked at me
Cocked your head to the side and said "I'm angry"
Five days since you laughed at me saying
"Get that together come back and see me"
Three days since the living room
I realized it's all my fault, but couldn't tell you
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
but it'll still be two days till I say I'm sorry
Hold it now and watch the hoodwink
As I make you stop, think
You'll think you're looking at Aquaman
I summon fish to the dish, although I like the Chalet Swiss
I like the sushi
'cause it's never touched a frying pan
Hot like wasabe when I bust rhymes
Big like LeAnn Rimes
Because I'm all about value
Bert Kaempfert's got the mad hits
You try to match wits, you try to hold me but I bust through
Gonna make a break and take a fake
I'd like a stinkin achin shake
I like vanilla, it's the finest of the flavours
Gotta see the show, cause then you'll know
The vertigo is gonna grow
Cause it's so dangerous,
you'll have to sign a waiver
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of taking off my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me
Threw your arms in the air
and said "You're crazy"
Five days since you tackled me
I've still got the rug burns on both my knees
It's been three days since the afternoon
You realized it's not my fault
not a moment too soon
Yesterday you'd forgiven me
And now I sit back and wait til you say you're sorry
Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin' X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic
Like Sting I'm tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy
Like Kurasawa I make mad films
Okay, I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a Samurai
Gonna get a set a' better clubs
Gonna find the kind with tiny nubs
Just so my irons aren't always flying off the back-swing
Gotta get in tune with Sailor Moon
'Cause the cartoon has got the boom anime babes
That make me think the wrong thing
How can I help it if I think you're funny when you're mad
Tryin' hard not to smile though I feel bad
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, you soon will
I have a tendency to wear my mind on my sleeve
I have a history of losing my shirt
It's been one week since you looked at me
Dropped your arms to your sides
and said "I'm sorry"
Five days since I laughed at you and said
"You just did just what I thought you were gonna do"
Three days since the living room
We realized we're both to blame,
but what could we do?
Yesterday you just smiled at me
Cause it'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
It'll still be two days till we say we're sorry
