OK, I'm a media student at college and for my Single Camera Three assignment. I have to shoot a five minute pilot film. I've chosen to do a comedy but that ain't music.

What the hell has this got to do with music? I hear you ask.

Well, part of my inspiration was the classic rock group the Rolling Stones and because of that I would like to use their music as the soundtrack throughout the film. Now as a young'n I only have a limitied knowledge of the Stones' music. Infact to be damn truthful I've only listened to 40 Licks. (shame on me)

What the hell has this got to do with me? I hear you ask.

Pateint you!

What I would like help with is if you schmoes have any ideas what Stones' songs would be awsome in film and fit a mood or situation perfectly that ain't on 40 Licks...although maybe you have a real good idea, I'd be grateful if you'd share it here on this very thread.

When the hell is this damn post gonna end?! I hear you ask.

Now.

I can't say I am a huge Rolling Stones fan, but their album 'Hot Rocks (1964-71)' is one of my favorites of all time. Here are ten of my favorites:

Angie
Can't You Hear Me Knockin'
Gimme Shelter
Heart of Stone
Miss You
Ruby Tuesday
Sympathy For The Devil
Under My Thumb
Wild Horses (Acoustic)
You Can't Always Get What You Want

keep in mind that's only ten of their best.

If you're looking for a psychadelic trippy sort of sound go with "She's a Rainbow" or "2000 Light Years From Home" off the Their Satanic Majesties Request album.

If your looking for something upbeat how about "Mixed Emotions" or "Start Me Up".

If it's a disco feel your looking for how about "Emotional Rescue" or "Miss You".

If you just wan't a rockin score you could go with "Cant You Hear Me Knockin" or "Tumbling Dice".

If your bound and determined to have a Keith Richards vocal you could go with "Happy" or "Before They Make Me Run".:D

For a mellow groove go with "Sympathy for the Devil" or "Gimme Shelter".

You really can't go wrong with the Stones.:) If you've got any specific questions, I'll try to help.
