Well they are...I love Nina's voice. So beautiful.
Anyone bought the LP yet? I have the new single which had a shitty chart entry last week. Sort of a mix of their old stuff and their last album.

Bullet Tooth Tony...
Did you ever buy the A Camp album? It's basically Nina collaborating with Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse. It's a fantastic album. I like the odd Cardigans song but the A Camp album was solid right the way through. I've read that some of the stuff on the new Cardigans album sounds like it wouldn't sound out of place on a second A Camp album.

I've heard of it but I never got round to finding it and purchasing it. Sounds interesting though.

XcoryX you should see hear My Favourite Game. Very good song and the video makes it better. Actually the director of Spun directed that video.

I just downloaded the new Cardigans album and it has to be said...Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse has really had a positive effect on the music of The Cardigans. I've never really been a huge fan but so far this album sounds more like Nina Persson's A Camp album. That particular suite of songs was a collaboration with the aforementioned Linkous and after one listen to the new album i've come to the conclusion that this sounds better than any previous Cardigans album. Shame about the recent single not making much of an impact on the chart (I know that this is a little rich coming from someone who just downloaded the whole album instead of buying it).
The video for "My Favorite Game" rocks! The uncut version is much better than the cut one though, it doesn't have the same impact when it's cut. The ending was very good! However, I didn't find the video nearly as disturbing as other people did. Although I was disturbed when she threw the stuffed cat (I think it was Felix!?) out of the car ;). I know that sounds lame, but it honestly did bother me a little bit. It's so funny that I'm more bothered by a stuffed cat getting thrown out of the car than a bunch of people getting in car accidents, but I'm just weird like that ;).

The cut version doesn't show the ending where she flies out of the car and is lying on the highway dead...

On the single for "Erase/Rewind" it has the un-cut vid on with different endings...I'm gonna dig it out.

Ok...i've been listening to the new Cardigans album for some months now and i've come to the conclusion that it's one of the top five albums released so far this year. The only album i've listened to more is Elephant by The White Stripes (and it's a fucking close thing). It's leaps and bounds ahead of anything that The Cardigans have released before. It's even better than Nina Persson's collaboration with Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse fame (they recorded an album together as A Camp). The quality of the songwriting throughout is stunning. Nina has come on in leaps and bounds. It just keeps getting better with each listen. Has anyone else heard it?
