Well, I saw them finally (again, I've seen them once before) and I must say it was one of the best shows I've seen in a while. They were 'on' from the beginning when Nick started screaming 'Millionaire' (my favorite song on the new album) and Mark Lanagan appearing just MADE MY DAY! His vocals are so perfect on songs like Auto Pilot and Hanging Tree. Also, during the former song, they started this 15 minute jam that was very reminiscent of Pink Floyd in its melodious perfection. Very moving. I am just so thrilled that I finally got to see them live in top form and it reaffirms my opinion that they're one of the best bands around for sure.
Incidentally, I kept screaming for 'In The Fade' but Josh Homme just looked at me and said 'not this time, babe.' I'm not sure why they chose not to do it and it was dissapointing but the show was still incredible. SO glad I went....oh, and NO FIRES! :cool:
