When does it come out for dvd??? Does any1 know the exact date, not rumors but the real date, the main reason I wan't to know that my vide club now has it on vhs, and I don't think I can wait any longer for it!!!! If it is coming out on dvd fairly quickly I guess I can wait, but not to much longer!!!!!!!!

Quentin is right that is from andy kaufman and man on the moon. No one ever told me the date of american beauty, that is what I was trying to get out of this post. ah well

I already seen American Beauty; I was talking about renting Man on the Moon and Dark City. Yes American Beauty was great but I think it got too much recognition than it really was meant too, and it blocked out some of the other films of '99. Especially on Oscar night.

But I'm hoping it is October because that movie is definitely one I will add to the collection.

You know who reminds me of Andy? Spike Jonze - he's that weird. That whole Fat Boy Slim video he did - that was crazy stuff. He fooled alot of people.

I TOTALLY get Andy K. He is one of the best comic geniuses ever. I totally felt like I got into his mind and I knew exactly what was going on. The movie fooled the hell outta me when he did that whole charade about how he thinks that people from Nashville are trashy. I couldn't beleive it was fake, and I still cant believe that everything that went on in his life is real and he fooled ALL those people.

What fatboy slim are you talking about, Crynot? What happened in that video?

Apparently the leader in that video was Spike Jonze. He took on another name - something like Michael Kilough or close to that. When that video won the award, Spike Jonze went up to accept it as this other character - they say he denies ever having anything to do with Fat Boy Slim in the first place but it really was him. Spike is crazy - look at Being John Malkovich - that says it all.
