i wasnt expecting to see a best picture contender here and what i got was a great summer-popcorn movie(or whatever you call it).
there really wasnt anything that was "Burton-like" in this movie but it was very exciting and funny too. i thought the apes that were hittin' the bong were funny. Tim Roth was great as the ruthless leader and the slave trader ape was really funny.
PLUS the ending was great! it was kind of like a Twilight Zone ending.
the only thing i didnt like was the apes jumping ability...that seemed too exaggerated. but overall this was great entertainment.
