I must be getting nostalgic or something, because I just found this little record store that sells Laserdiscs and I spent $20 on 4 Laserdiscs ("The Grifters", "Jurassic Park", "Trapped In Paradise" & "Suture")...in fact, I still have my Laserdisc player below my DVD changer in my entertainment system...shit, next thing you know I will be buying 8-tracks again...
anybody else still watch Laserdiscs sometimes?
(note: "SUTURE" is a great Hitchcockian thriller starring Dennis Haysbert [black detective in "The Thirteenth Floor" & "The Minus Man"] in one of his earliest roles...great stuff...great actor...)
I still have a Lazerdisc player. It's so old that I cant watch new movies (1994 to present) because the format is different. i'm not kidding! It is from 1980 or something. its funny. But I have some of the best movies on lazerdisc. And I love watching them:
Amadeus (10/10)
Star Wars Trilogy
Stir Crazy
Lazerdiscs are funny. They're so huge and not worth the space. But they are still fun to have. I want my DVD playa more than anything though.

I cherish my "GlenGarry Glen Ross" LaserDisc...
...I found a site that sells films on laserdisc from fairly recently...like "Spanish Prisoner" and "Out of Sight"...there are lots of other newer releases on laserdisc, but I waste my money on DVDs these days...
Lazerdiscs are old. Thier huge, HUGE, and somehow they seem to get scratched for no reason. This happened to Empire Strikes Back. That just depresses me since that is one of my all time fav's (10/10). But I should waste my money on DVDs...soon.
My "home theater" has two Bose speakers. Now they just about make every movie look good. They can blast away so much that it is simply beauty. Out amplifyer is really old but really really powerful. So any movie, on VHS for the time being, can sound really good. Does anyone else have one of those types of home "theaters". Mainly with Bose since, and I stand by this statement with all I trust, Bose is the king of speakers. And they always will be.

I have BOSE, but I don't understand how speakers can make a film LOOK good...they are really great. They are the best.
