It's gotta be the Lakers . With players like Kobe and Shaq, their my favorite team.

Although the Bulls used to be awesome when Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman used to play for the team.

I don't follow sports much because I don't have any access to televised programming (local or cable/satellite), but it's always cool to see a new forum here.

As for my favorite team, I'm kinda partial to The Wizards, but, as I said, I don't get to watch them all that often :(.

Same here. I lived in the D.C. area for ten years and rooted for the Bullets (I refuse to call them the Wizards), but since I moved to the west coast I can't really watch them.

Well naturally I'm a Raptors fan. Sure we sucked huge ass this year, but we were injured. A healthy Vince Carter, coupled with our seemingly high draft pick that we should be getting makes for better days ahead.

I'm also a big fan of the Mavs and are hoping they end the Lakers dynasty.

As a native Houstonian, I have always been and will always continue to be a Rockets fan. I still have a ticket stub from a game at the Summit in 1984 against the Mavericks. Olajuwon, Drexler, Thorpe, Kenny Smith, Sleepy Floyd, and now Yao and Stevie Franchise. I see NBA titles in the near future.

I've always had a soft spot for Orlando. They had an awesome team in 95 when I went to see them at the Orena. Tracy McGrady will be off to pastures new real soon if we don't buck our ideas up, although we have started getting better recently.

Poor Grant Hill.

Bulls fan.

Even though they have sucked for awhile now (ever since a certian someone left town). They are still my home team and I cant wait for them to get better. (Playoffs, next year, you heard it here first).

I also like watching the Wizards just cuz I still love MJ. I grew up with him. We used to go the old Chicago Stadium to see him play all the time while I was growing up. He doesnt have what he used to have but it is still amazing to watch him play. So many people bash him now saying that he should have stayed retired, but why should he, when he is still one of the best players in the game. When you think about what he has accomplished this year, it is amazing, he is 40 years-old and he is single-handedly carrying a very weak team into the race for the last playoff spot against competitors who are sometimes only half of his age. He may not have the legs anymore, but the mind and spirit is willing, and for someone like Micheal, that just may be enough.

By a long way, the Lakers are definately my favorite team (and also my home team, along with *snickers* the Clippers). I am just awed by the talent of Kobe, the grace and power of Shaq, the speed and toughness of Fisher (who is my favorite underdog in the league), the cerebral and clutch playing of Horry, and...well I suppose Fox is "ok" as long as he stops doing fucking Ford commercials.

Being a fan of the Lakers I suppose it is my duty to loathe and despise the Kings, but I am also a fan of the Wizards and the Mavericks.

There is one Laker I cannot stand however - Samaki Walker. This guy is one of the WORST centers in the league, and is constantly blowing fantastic passes from Kobe and his teammates. Coupled with the fact that he is always giving a shiteating grin when he commits a foul, makes him the worst laker on the bench (Shiteating grin btw is when you grin like you are eating shit and loving every second of it).

And what is with the commentator Stu Lantze (sp)? I mean, this guys voice is so monotonous, and goes from high to low in every sentence he says...but it ALWAYS goes a little high, and then low at the end. Like for example "Kobe GETS the ball and PUTS IT UP for *long pause* the easy duece "

And the pauses piss me off too.

Sorry for the rants above. I really do love the Lakers!

Been a fan of Steve Nash, Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitzki for a while now, yet the Mavs are tied with my longtime favourite team the UTAH JAZZ. Let's hope the mailman can deliver this postseason

Golden State Warriors...I can hear the schmoes laughing already! Hey they suck I know it...this year they have improved...but Basketball is my least favorite sport, but they are still my team unfortunately.

I used to dig the Chicago Bulls when MJ and Pip' and the Rodman were playing together, but that era's gone now. I also used to love the Showtime-era L.A. Lakers -- you had Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy all playing for the team and just for the team and that was sweeeeeet.

Right now...well, I'm still rooting for the Washington Wizards because MJ is on their team, but as soon as he's gone next year, my support goes with him. Nah, I'd say I support the Orlando Magic -- great team, great TMac, great jerseys, and it's my hometown, for fuck's sake! -- and the New York Knicks -- I just love their spirit.

I gotta say I love the way the Detroit Pistons currently play ball, too. Unselfish team work, very solid defense, dedication...I mean, their most famous player (Ben Wallace) doesn't even score ten points a game! But he rebounds, blocks shots, defends, and does all the dirty work, and it's thanks to people like him that the Pistons are proving right now that you don't need to be a Slam Dunk Contest winner-packed team to win ball games.
