I picked up the Directors Edition, because I prefer to just buy the "best" straight out and not worry about it later. Just wondering what everyone else is getting, if at all...

I'm goin out later to get the Director's Edition...
I think there's only one R2 release, and it's the same as the R1 director's edition. Well, the artwork's different, but the specs and features are the same.

I think I prefer that artwork anyway, the gold band round the R1 box looks crap. It's also easier for me to get the R2, so I'll just wait on this one.

I agree... the R2 box art is MUCH better.

I picked up the Director's Edition right away. I already watched most of the extensive special features and am very glad I spent the extra money on the Director's Edition. I also gotta admit I kinda like the cheesy gold fame on it.

The sound and picture quality on the directors edition are fantastic, and the extras are quite good. If you don't believe me, check this out........

I just watched it myself on my home theatre system (which, i might add, is pretty craptacular) and it really does look fantastic, and sounds excellent. DE all the way
