Some many posts later is me with DeLorean from B2TF (or a replica?). No one was guarding this treasure, so I decided it would be stupid if I was standing away from the car, so I stepped over the ropes.



In a better world, three snipers would have taken me down as soon as my foot got near that marvel of filmmaking.

I have these pics some where, but not sure where, but....I have pictures of me IN the African Queen! How cool is that? The boat is still in tact and its in Key Largo, went there last summer.

Bubba - I have pictures of me with that car too. It is the real DeLorean - well, one of the DeLoreans they used in the movie. I also have pictures of me with the cars from THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS.

I worked at Universal one summer, you see - and I took advantage of it by spending lots of time on the back lot. Running up the steps of the Hill Valley Courthouse, standing in Steven Spielberg's parking space, standing in Dino DeLaurentiis' parking space, things like that!

Ah yeah. That one is supercool!!! Bruce is one of my favorite actors out there.

I still love his line about his role in Spiderman when someone said he had a small part --

I agree about the DeLorean. I HATED seeing that car out in the blazing sun, day after day. Surrounded by idiotic tourists who didn't give a damn about it. And left out in the open by a studio who don't give a damn about it - but SHOULD because BACK TO THE FUTURE is one of the reasons Universal have as much money as they have today.

That car should be in a sealed container, protected from all the elements, and kept in pristine condition. Instead they are leaving it rust to death in the Californian sunshine.

The good news is that the stainless steel design of the car will keep it from rusting, oxidizing, or paint fading

I don't know about that - it's starting to look a little worse for wear. I'll post the photo of me with it on this thread soon - because it shows the car a little more clearly than yours does. Plus..I'm doing the BACK TO THE FUTURE pose too. So I'm cooler ;)
