True story...

the first time I watched this I was thinking if they start playing Tears For Fears' "Head Over Heels" anywhere in this movie it was gonna be perfect with the scene, no matter what.

Anyway, here's my picks:
-"Adiago For Strings" in Platoon (1986, 10/10)

-Sting's "Shape Of My Heart" in The Professional (1994, 10/10)

-Sting's "It's Probably Me" in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992, 7/10)

"In Dreams" by Roy Orbison was utilized in two great BLUE VELVET scenes: (1) when Dean Stockwell serenaded pal Dennis Hopper; and (2) when Hopper later beat Kyle MacLachlan to a bloody pulp!

Although all the music fits the themes of Donnie Darko surely the best use of a song is 'Mad World' for the end character montage scene ?

Was "Blue Moon" playing in the background during the transformation scene in An American Werewolf in London? I think it was, and that's an awesome scene.
Any song from Rushmore or The Royal Tenenbaums.
"Day-O" in Beetlejuice. Hahaha, classic scene in a classic movie.

Bring Me To Life by Evanescence in Daredevil (10/10). It is used during the sequence where Elektra is training with the Sais. A brilliant use of music, from a brilliant band.

Oh god I HATE that song. Not just because it gets too much airtime, but it's such a slow and dumb song. Sorry, I just needed to rant.

My choices:

"Layla" by Eric Clapton-Goodfellas
"Stuck in the Middle With You"-Reservoir Dogs
"Playground Love" by Air-Virgin Suicides
