Plot: Academy Award® winning director James Cameron journeys back to the site of his greatest inspiration -- the legendary wreck of the Titanic. With a team of the world's foremost historic and marine experts and friend Bill Paxton, he embarks on an unscripted adventure back to the final grave where nearly 1,500 souls lost their lives almost a century ago. Using state-of-the-art technology developed expressly for this expedition, Cameron and his crew are able to explore virtually all of the wreckage, inside and out, as never before. With the most advanced 3D photography, moviegoers will experience the ship as if they are part of the crew, right inside the dive subs. In this unprecedented motion picture event, made especially for IMAX® 3D Theaters and specially outfitted 35mm 3D theaters across the country, Cameron and his team bring audiences to sights not seen since the sinking 90 years ago and explore why the landmark vessel -- more than any shipwreck -- continues to intrigue and fascinate the public.

Starring: Bill Paxton (Twister), Don Lynch (Titanic Historian), Tava Smiley (Timecop 2), Dr. Lori Johnston (Debut), and Ken Marschall (Historian).

Directed By: James Cameron (Titanic, The Terminator).

MPAA Rating: "G" for General Audiences.

Genre: Documentary.

Thoughts: This film promises to be AMAZING! The shipwreck is very interesting, and there is no one better to make an exciting documentary about it than James Cameron, an incredibly talented filmmaker who directed 3 of my top 20 films. If I get the chance, I'll definitely see this. My top choice of April.

It looks cool, but here are two problems for me:

a) The closest IMAX theater is more than an hour away.
b) I dislike most IMAX features, so if my expectations are high they could very, very easily be let down.

Box Office Prophets states that Ghosts of the Abyss will also be released in "regular" theatres. Can anyone confirm this?

James Cameron, I believe, got Disney to pay to equip about 50 theatres across America, non-IMAX theatres, to be able to play this film.

This looks for like a TLC documentary, aside from the 3-D aspect. Didn't we see the actual Titantic in "Titantic?" Looks like James is trying to still ride his Titantic fame.

I just saw the preview for this last night, and it looks really cool.

So when people see this, are they going to have to put 3-D glasses on?
That would be cool. :D

Yes this may be cool, it may be neat to wear 3D glasses in a theater again.

But James move on! pick another topic.

I am sure that there will be a lot of cool info and Discovery/TLC channelessque stuff. But anyone could have done that, and they have!

It just seems like he can't get over Titanic and move on.

Hopefully he will get the picture soon and make some other good movies as well.
