Boy, what a great flick about making (or unmaking) movies. I'm not sure if many other people felt rthe way I did, but I was just totally inspired after I saw this movie. It was funny, sad, educational (lol) and just plain old entertaining. I recommend any fan of film watches this movie.
A solid 8/10.
But I do recommend you rent a few other Gilliam features before seeing this one...probably 12 Monkeys, Brazil and Time Bandits. Maybe Fear and Loathing if you're a Depp fan.

Agreed. I hope he gets to make it eventually. I mean what was it's supposed budget? $40-50 million? I'm disappointed hollywood thought Gilliam wouldn't be able to make that back on worldwide grosses with a healthy profit- he could.

Yeah, the budget was $32 million. It really blows that the movie didn't get finished because the sets built and the costumes and everything about it was just so freakin cool. Like 98% of the costumes and everything are completely finished and Gilliam is getting together with a new set of producers to buy the script back from the insurance company. And since the costumes and whatnot are finished, we won't need as much money as before and hopefully this baby will still get made. I recommend this flick to all schmoes. Lost in La Mancha rules!

Umm, not sure if they have any ideas of working together again, but they were together in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I am guessing with Depp's likeable reputition, they'll be together again (Tim Burton loves him).
