I've been awaiting an announcement on this show. I ead somewhere (don't remember where) that they would be releasing season 1 late summer or early fall. I can't wait either way.
I bought the DVD that features the first two episodes. I figured if I bought that (which was only available in Canada) that it would show them that there are people out there that would like to see a DVD of the complete season.
Has anyone else heard anything else about this show?

I'll buy this. The first season is much better than the 2nd (60% of season 2 was pretty bad), so I definitely want this. And I already have all of season 2 anyway (and unfortunately).

I much prefer season 2 over season 1. In season 1, every week was some new kid screwed up by meteor rocks, and I thought they'd keep doing that. But in season 2, the main characters were concentrated on more, and the plots got much better. But that's my opinion.
What I do know is that, even though they've totally re-written Superman's history, it's refreshing, and I love it.

Eh, season 2 started out okay, but then they just threw away scripts and just focused heavily on Clark-Lana-Chloe, and how to hurt Chloe or Lana each week. And Lana annoys me now. This season has had enough bad storylines, episodes, and Kryptonite villains. They just need to fire some of the writers and move away from the Krypto-villains. Also, the finale was kind of boring.

I think what I loved so much about this season was how far Lex is willing to go to find out the truth about Clark. He even stole the test tube of blood, but he gave it back. What I really don't like, is that I don't think Smallville will last more than 5 years. I read somewhere that they don't ever plan to have Clark go to Metropolis, so once they graduate, that's it.
I also read that possibly we could see Lois Lane this upcoming season, and possibly even Bruce Wayne.
