I don't think he's all that and a bag of chips, but whenever I'm on top of my wife and I "pop" the eyes a la Marty, it seems to get her really hot.

What do people think?

Igor: BLUCHER!!!
Horses: Neeeeeiiiiighhhhh!!!

Definitely a great big YAY from me. He was one of England's best comedic exports. Lyle, your wife has good taste. Strange, but good...I think... (do you REALLY do the Marty Feldman eyes when you're...you know...???)

This one gets me every time. I've heard that Marty Feldman made up the line and Mel Brooks thought it was so funny that he kept in the film.

Fredrick: Eye-gor, would you give me a hand with the bags?
Igor: Certainly. You take the blonde, and I'll take the one in the turban.

A big YAY. I'm surprised...I didn't think there would be a topic about Marty Feldman. LOL this thread is too damn funny.

Yea, he was hilarious in Young Frankenstein. The way he said "turban" like "toi-ban"...classic stuff for a classic film.

Marty Feldman was a superb British comedian/actor/writer who made a name for himself in British comedies of the 1960's/70's, had a short-lived sketch show called "The Marty Feldman Comedy Machine" on UK TV, collaborated occasionally with the Monty Python team (he appears on stage with them on film in "Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl" - the Four Yorkshiremen sketch was my fave). He also worked with Peter Sellers and the Goon crew, Peter Cook & Dudley Moore, the Footlights Review folks, etc. He came to the attention of US audiences by appearing in several of Mel Brooks' zany comedies (most notably "Silent Movie" and "Young Frankenstein"). He used his bulging, googly eyes to full comedic potential.

Sadly he passed away in 1982 from food poisoning while working on the film "Yellowbeard" in Mexico (former Python Graham Chapman, who was starring, got him onto the project). His few remaining scenes had to be shot using a double.

Watch "Young Frankenstein" to see him at his best, and I dare you not to laugh at his antics.
