During the scene where Joe is at Muldoon's party, right after he looks in and sees Muldoon with Lanie and turns around to follow them, I get this weird garbage on the screen for just an instant. It's the only glaring flaw on the DVD (with the exception of some drop-out on the commentary track). My question is, does this appear on everyone's copy, or did I possibly get a defective DVD? I almost hope it's the latter, as I'd rather be able to replace in than live with it. I know the Stoned Age isn't Citizen Kane, but I like it and I want it pristine. /ubb/biggrin.gif

I checked my disc and I don't get that. That's really sucks. It's probably "Tacks" fault. Actually, I love this flick, from the Black Sabbath opening, to the Blue Oyster Cult monologue to the "No Fat Chicks" sweatshirt, to the OX .45 Tallboys, to the Frankie Valli place, to the "pissing in the icetray" scene, Crumps' brothers' chicks, to the amazing Clifton Gonzalez Gonzalez ("The Replacement Killers", "Traffic" as Tack... sorry to hear about the disc man, at leastyou didn't get caught "wormin'" someone else's chick's, gettin' 'em high on the Schnapp-ster and skank-weed before blowing chunks in the recliner... /ubb/wink.gif

Who wouldn't want to hang with Joe, Hubbs, Lainie, Jill, Tack, Hanky, Mike Dick, Mike New York, Crump, Crump's Brother looking out for Officer Dean, Muldon and his horse piss beer, Jill's Dad, and the buffalo chicks while stealing cases of Ox 45 talls and crusin in the blue torpedo listening to BOC's "don't fear the reaper". In the scene where Joe is eating Jill's dad's food you can see a crew member's reflection in the microwave. My VHS tape is almost worn out, I'll have to get the DVD someday.
The Citizen Kane of stoner flicks.

Did someone say 151? (Drew shudders)
Sorry, I just had a rrrreaaaaally bad flashback of my spring break in Daytona Beach. We now return you back to your regularly scheduled DVD Discussion.
Although I will have to check out this Stoned Age flick, never heard of it but sounds pretty "interesting"...

This flick is well worth the dough /ubb/wink.gif
Tack: Bring on the bitches!
Hubbs: Ever since you got hit by that laser at that Blue Oyster Cult Show you've been acting like a pussy!
Joe: Technically you're his chicks.
Hubbs: I'd kick his ass if it wasn't for his massive upper body strengnth.
Plot Summary : Determined to avoid another night of
driving aimlessly around Torrance in
the Blue Torpedo, Joe and Hubbs set
out on a quest for fine chicks. Their
paths soon cross with Tack, from
whom they learn about a pair of
foreign radical chicks hanging out
near the Frankie Avalon place. Over
Joe's objections, Hubbs worms Tack
out of the deal, and the pair take a
slow ride toward their destiny.

Thanks, Brock! I'm actually thrilled to hear it's only a bad copy. If I have still have the receipt, I might even be able to take it back for a swap. If not, I'll have to get another copy. I love this movie. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who does. You and Green both sound like you've watched it as many times as me and my friends. /ubb/smile.gif

Mike Dick: "Hey! These ain't tall cans!"
Tack: "No shit! WTF, damn Hankey?"
Mick Dick: "He doesn't get out much, does he?"
