I have not seen this anywhere else, except Columbia House DVD club.
It's an Almost Famous DVD with the Extra 30 minutes that was not in the film, but if I go to Amazon or Reel.com, they don't show that anywhere. Does anyone know if that's true. I called Columbia House and they state that it's a special edition with the extra minutes.
Does anyone know, anything about the two differnt editions?

Bart, Columbia House ain't telling you the whole story. They're still using old "pre-release" information (when I received my screener from Dreamworks, their press release claimed the extra 30 minutes too) so don't buy into that. There's only one version of Almost Famous out there now.
You can check out the review of the current version at: /dvd/almostfamous.htm
(shameless plug, I know)
My sources tell me that the "director's cut" of Almost Famous should be out by the fall.

Thanks Doc, I read your review and then I saw this ad, and I was like how can the doc be wrong, but thanks for the info.
I have to be strong and wait until Fall

I being a very weak willed individual couldn't hold out that long and had to buy ALmost Famous now. Even if they do come out with another this fall I think this one is worth it for the extras. Well this is assuming that they aren't the same ones that'll appear on the next one. In that case I'm an idiot for not waiting.

Hey man, you are not an idiot! I did the same thing, I purchased the version that is currently available as well (GREAT MOVIE) and when the Special Edition comes out I will purchase that one as well. That way you can own the Theatrical version and the SE! However you look at it, it is still worth it.
