Lawrence Of Arabia - Newly Released Edition

First of all, I loved this movie. It's not the 6th greatest film of all time (or is it 4th) but I loved it. I was thinking of buying the DVD that just came out. It seems like it's loaded with a truckload of extras. And useful ones too. Sounds intriguing to buy. Like how I know how to spell? /ubb/smile.gif

I read a rumor online that they are going to reissue the movie in theatres in 2002 (40th anniv.) and that there are several extras (Peter O'Toole interview, etc.) that were not ready in time for the DVD, so that may spell another version of this DVD coming out after that. Apparently the company is neither confirming or denying this possibility.

However, the Lawrence DVD is listed as a "Limited Edition" so it might be worth it to pick it up, after all, even if the studio does double dip this one, there's no guarantee that all of the current extras will be on the new disc when and if it arrives...

thedigitalbits.com just reported that there are officially no plans to rework a Lawrence of Arabia DVD ANY time in the foreseeable future.

So buy it and enjoy!
