Sometimes a mistake/sometime's not...

This has happened to me a few times and sometimes it was a mistake.

THE GOOD:
Independence Day - Never saw it; bought it; loved it
A Christmas Story - Funny movie which I never got around to seeing

THE BAD:
Stargate: Never saw it; got it for free; hated it
LW4: Terrible movie with okay extras.
Scream 3: Worst of the series; definetely
Lost In Space: Awful movie with decent extras
Six Days Seven Nights - okay but sucks in the extras department.
The Perfect Storm: Cheesy movie with good special effects specials.

and in conclusion, I am going to buy the "Vertical Limit" DVD when it comes out, even though I have never seen it. But it looks awesome.

I saw VL in theaters ... it's not that bad, but it's not a movie to buy ... rent it instead.

The Perfect Storm is very good IMHO.

The Perfect Storm seems like a good DVD, and my friend likes it, nice sound apparently. The film was ok, too melodramatic, but some of the special effects were amazing. Overall i left the theatre stunned by the effects, which doesn't make a good film for me at all.

Didn't I hear that an expanded special edition of Raging Bull is coming out soon? I've never seen it, but I'd rather wait if a new version is about to be released.

DVDs are getting to be like computer hardware. "I might as well not get THAT version as a BETTER version will be coming out soon." Annoying. But, I fall for it every time. Because of this, I'm waiting for Escape From New York, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead. I'm getting The Fog right when it comes out, regardless of a future special edition (dammit!).
