well, it's about these 5 high school kids who all have a saturday detention. at first it seems as though they all represent different teenage stereotypes - the jock, the princess, the basketcase, the nerd, and the rebel. but, over the course of the day, they all learn to look beyond these labels and accept each other as unique individuals.

ignore me, Jason Vorhees. i'm just trying to have a few yucks by describing the plot of "the breakfast club" instead of "army of darkness." Jewbo summed it up nicely.

If you like the Evil Dead-atmosphere, you might be disappointed about "Army of Darkness".

Evil Dead is superb, but I thought Army of Darkness was very crappy...with all the stupid jokes and the not-at-all-scary mood...

Army of Darkness shouldn't be compared to The Evil Dead films, even though it shares the same character, thats about where the similarities end.

Also it's really more of a comedy/fantasy than horror. So if you like the idea of that, then it's your movie.
