*Reality* Horror Movie

Maybe not reality, but posing as...

Tell me this doesnt sound like a good idea for a movie - reality show, doing the reality thing...suddenly someone goes nuts and starts killing the participants. All filmed for ratings of course.

Yeah yeah, I know Slashers did a similar thing - but this might work.

Isn't there a movie like this called, "My little eye" or something like that? Where a group of people are in a reality show where they have to try and survive cabin fever in a snowed in house.

I hate reality television I'll be glad when it's all over. As for the movie it kinda sounds like Halloween Ressurection.

I swear to God I wrote a script a few weeks after Survivor first poped on the air about a producer whos reality tv show is failing so he decideds to kill of his contestants in order to gain ratings. I never could get the damn thing right and I knew I was doomed to one day see my idea put on the big screen by somebody else. Oh well, I'm sure there are thousands of people out there in the same perdiciment(spelling).

halloween resurrection tried something like this and made the film only worse.however,that was for alot of reasons,so if written well (which H:R wasnt) then it could maybe be something fun.

What do you mean not written well? Halloween Ressurection was the greatest movie ever made. A masterpiece. Not, just kidding.

My little Eye has already used the idea, personally i thought it was a pretty good film. The big brother meets Blair witch aspect definatly added a bit of realism to the whole thing. No doubt this will be the first of many to start flooding the horror market, not really a bad thing as a new approach to horror movies is needed. It takes a film every now and then to help the horror genre to evolve e.g scream. Blair witch.

Sounds like the idea behind Kolobos too. What would be interesting is a reality show theme where the members know one of them is nuts and will go on a killing spree in say, 24 hours, if they don't figure out who it is first--that's how they win the game.

I also had an idea for that. But for a tv show, something like jackass.
With a good budget ans special fx scare people on the street with weird stuff (monsters, a serial killer, ghosts, violents deaths). The problem is that it could be dangerous because no one knows how normal people is going to react after being scared (heart attacks, weapons, etc.)

hmmm... I think changing it a bit... where people are recruiting contestants for a "reality show" and then setting up the stunts to kill the contestants and filming it... kinda like a "Bloodsucking Freaks"/"Cecil B. Demented" kinda thing

I have this newer full moon film on dvd called Hell Asylum, it's about a bunch of people who sign up for a reality tv show in a haunted house and they get killed of by these grim reaper things. It's allright considering it's a Full Moon movie.
