callin any scottish fitba fans
I am not long back from the semi at hampden....very poor game and dundee just scraped through
do we have a chance in the final against rangers?? or are they fated to the win the treble?
Dundee have nae chance, I would have thought, I suppose you could say you never know but it's unlikely.
Besides I have no sympathy for dundee I live on bell street and I have to listen to hundreds of noisy drunks every night when the circus kicks out. To hell with dundee :p

I think dundee will perform better against rangers than against Inverness Caley or Falkirk
The pressure was on us in those games as we were expected to win
plus we have the additional reward of a UEFA cup spot under out belt now..
i think that those two teams played a physical brand of football which put pressure on our skilful midfield...we pplayed 4 3 3 which left us a man short in the middle
however rangers will be attemptint to play attacking football also which will give us the opportunity to play our style of game
i still think rangers are favourites but we have done well agains the old firm in recent years
plus we have the additional reward of a UEFA cup spot under out belt now..
Does that mean the jsearch.co.uk guy's gonna start giving you the millions now? Ha ha ha.
I have to admit all interest in this comp died for me when rangers overtook motherwell on saturday. The fact the BBC had paid (quite a lot I'd imagine) for the final expecting rangers/celtic and it looked like they were gonna get motherwell v ICT/dundee amused me quite a lot. Shame it did not turn out that way.

i am a rangers supporter and to be honest i think we will beat you but not by a big score,
apart from ourselves this season dundee have been one of the best teams to watch i like cabelero and nesamdze(georgian lad in midfeild sorry about the spelling) and i really hope we sign lee wilkie at the end of the season because i think the lad has real potential.
so i am quite happy we are playing you in the final as it will be a pretty good game to watch but i fancy us to win 3-1 .
on another note though i think it is wrong of the sfa to have split the tickets for the game 50-50 because with all due respect we have 45,000 season ticket holders while dundee have less than 10.000 so this means a lot of fans who go every week are going to lose out,and if i am one of them i will be gutted.

couldnt agree more about the ticket allocation........if a club has as many loyal supporters as your week in week out..then you deserve more tickets....simple as that..
if absent dundee fans cant get their arse along to the games then they would deserve half the tickets
The guy who owns jsearch.co.uk, dundees current sponsers promised to give them £250000 if they qualifed for europe and said he was prepared to invest 100 million in dundee if they do well. He is largely believed to be full of shit.

ooops sorry mate...i think i had tried to quash that bawbags memory from my mind

I'd like to think Dundee could win it, but I can't see it. 2-0 Rangers in a scrappy encounter, with at least one of the goals from the penalty spot is my prediction.

I think if our boys are firing then we could give rangers a fright, but only if gavin rae and nemzadze get a hold of the ball in midfield. Rae is an able player but does not impose himself enough.
we will miss lee wilkie badly.
i think if rangers score early it will be a breeze because their players like de boer and gerguson will get a hold of the ball. but if keep the pace up early on and nick a goal who knows. be a great day anyway
on another note though i think it is wrong of the sfa to have split the tickets for the game 50-50 because with all due respect we have 45,000 season ticket holders while dundee have less than 10.000 so this means a lot of fans who go every week are going to lose out,and if i am one of them i will be gutted.
Hmm... yes but how many of the die hard loyal rangers fans care about the cups unless it's the final, or you're playing septic *ahem*, sorry celtic. Rangers didn't sell their allocation for the motherwell game and the didn't sell their lot for the cis semi this season either. And would I be right in saying a cup game at ibrox has not sold out since they stopped being part of STs? And who decides which clubs get 50/50 with the OF and which do not (Aberdeen, Hearts and the leith vermin could all easily sell 25000 tickets for a cup final)
My point is I don't really think you can tell who is a "real fan" on the basis of if they go to every game- football is expensive and you can be the biggest fan in the world but if you can't afford to go to games, you can't afford to go to games.
Oh and just on another note I'd rather watch games at hampden on the tv than be there. It is a dump.

point taken but my arguement is 45.000 people own season tickets to rangers and go to near enough every home game,so with the 20,000 final ticket allocation that means 25,000 fans who go to the games regular will not get a ticket.
whilst dundee have around 6,000 season ticket holders and average crowds around 10,000 so that means at least 15,000 people who never go to games will crawl out of the woodwork to get a cup final ticket,if thats fair then i am a dafodil.
and if we are going off the semis too rangers sold more tickets than the other 3 teams put together so i think we deserve a 60-40 split at least
the sfa decided that whoever is in the cup final there will be a 40-40 split with the other 20 per cent going to sponsors and other no marks.

it is a shit hole but at least its improved since the renovation it used to be a dangerous shithole before they took place.
Oi, less off the Hampden-bashing. Blah blah blah, the cup final will be a horrible game to watch anyway (compared to, say, the FA cup final or any CL game), and the ground's far better than what most of the idiots who will turn up for the final deserve.

the games between dundee and rangers this season have been good games, good to watch both teams like to play football the right way so it should make for an entertaining game.as for the ground when you are used to ibrox one of the best stadiums in europe it makes you see the faults in other grounds of which hampden has many.
and i will wager it will be a far better game than arsenal against southampton in the fa cup final that will be a boring 1-0 win to arsenal.

yeah the man was a definate liability today, although not as much as barry ferguson was to us he must have had a few quid on a dundee win.
I don't wish to be rude or start a flame war here, but can someone please tell me why lee Wilkie is in the scotland squad? Watching him on the last 2 bbc live games (OK it was against high quality opposition, but still) he was dreadful.

he's there because sadly we have noone any better, the squad at the moment is piss poor,so people like wilkie who i dont think is a disasterous player, the lad has potential, but is knowhere near international class is in the squad

i certainly hope they don't beat us,...that would just be fucking magic,..especially if Celtic do win this cup final,..i think we will beat them easily though(this time) we were so pish against them in the 2-2 draw,...we will be out for revenge, and i expect us to win 4-0......this will come after we clinch the S.P.L title against Dunfermline of course;)
