What do you guys think of the new Danny Boyle movie "28 Days Later" ??

I saw it last sunday, and I thought it was pretty cool. Well, I expected a little bit more of it, but the whole military-scène in the house (the second part of the movie actually...) was very intense!!

You can clearly see this movie is inspired on "Night of the Living Dead".

If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you do, it's nice :)

I watched it, and thought it was great. Real kewl, fun flick. It had it's similarities to Day of the Dead, but it was NOT a rip off. DotD was a Zombie movie, 28 Days Later isn't.

I had fun watching it... and will watch it again.

My sister saw it in London a few months ago and she really liked it. I'll have to watch it.

The trailer shown for it at the screening I saw of Confindence actually called it a zombie movie, and they showed what looked like a zombie for a couple of seconds.

I'm looking forward to this movie.

See... that's why I hate trailers. Trust me, it's NOT a zombie movie in the traditional sense. It's like a "retelling" of a zombie tale, but they're not zombies.... well... watch it, you'll see.

The trailer for this is too weak,it isnt doing anything to make me want to see it,infact as of now im passing on this one when it comes to theaters here in the US....i saw the trailer for it by downloading it for one, then at showings of bulletproof monk and house of 1000 corpses, and it just doesnt explain the plot or anything.

If you go see Confidence when it opens and you can see a more elaborate trailer that explains slightly more. I thought even the original trailer I saw made it look very interesting though.

Ahh ok. I'll probably see it within the first week of its opening and I'm still looking forward to it, zombies or not.

Not a bad film i liked it. I wish it had more scenes of the build up not just dumping it 28 days later that would have been cool.

Indeed, I was also hoping for a little bit more scenes about the virus getting control over London...

It would have been great to see something like a material on video tapes the characters would find somewhere, about riots and the hords of infected people running amock on the streets...

28 days later could have been a master peace if the 2nd part was not so long and so basic about the descripion of a world colliding because of relationships. the fact that the soldiers are dumb is also a cliche that could have been avoid. Romero did it in, Day of the dead alrealdy. And i don't like the ending wich turns too.....

S P O I L E R S !!!!!!!!!!

...wich turns too "happy"' for me. Boyle said he directed another ending more "hopeless" and it would have been preferable to include this alternative ending instead the one they finally chosen probably due to the producers (20th century fox).
Despite all that, 28days later is still a very good film but not certainly not the "renaissance" of the zombie flick genre. Maybe "House of the dead" will....(just kidding!)
