NOOOOO!

I was just gonna go see identity with a friend, and I just found out they've chanegd ratings in theatres to make it all the same all over Canada - which means Identity is now rated 18A (equivalent to U.S. R) instead of the original AA rating they used to have!!!!

damn this stupid new system...

ah, the good old days of sneaking into R rated movies :D

Now when (if) they ask for ID I can just be like *bam*, I love it. http://boards.slackercentral.com/images/smilies/headbang.gif

Here in Nova Scotia, according to the Daily News, Identity is rated AA, so the new ratings JC must only apply to your province than. This was today's paper too.......

Anywho I never had problems in the past getting into AA or R movies. The age restriction hasn't "legally" applied to me for nearly 5 years now anyways......:D

If it's true... it's about fucking time. I can't remember the last "R" rated movie. When I was a kid, EVERYTHING was "R", now everything's AA, and then you go to see a good movie, and you're inendated with a bunch of fucking 14year old loudmouth assholes that don't shut up.

I say they should have one showing night on Fri/Sat for EVERY movie that's "19+" only. I mean shit... I saw Jackass at the show, and the oldest person, besides me and my buddy, were these 3 annoying 17year old douchebags that DIDN'T SHUT UP!!! Fucking hate that.

Now I'm not saying that older people aren't annoying, but it's just more often than not, when you get more than 2 teenagers hanging out, they get cocky and annoying.

Oh yea... and I'm checking out Identity tomorrow... so I'm hoping what you said is true.

Woohoo! I think this 18A rating is good, because...well it doesn't apply to me AND it lessens the chance of annoying little bastards being in the audience. Yeah! Watching Identity today.

where i live they don't do all that supervision shit, the only movie i remember going that required identification was Y Tu Mama Tambien, and for that even 13 year olds where getting in. hehehe

:D

Well it doesn't matter anyway...me and my friends (yeah 9 or so of us ended up going) went and snuck in...we bought tickets for Bulletproof Monk, and the guys went and saw Identity, while the girls went to see Bulletproof Monk...ALSO, since Identity was shorter, when we finished, we just went into the Bulletproof Monk room and watched the ending of that movie as well lol...

And hey, not all "14 year olds" are like that. Well like i said i'm closer to being 16 now, but most of my friends and I don't make smart ass comments in the theatres, and if u go in and watch a movie, usually it is just a couple people...

besides, i've EASILY seen many people over 18 do the same thing...a bunch of people that were probably in their 20s were doing that when i went to see American Pie 2 two years ago...

Oh, and i'm more than glad i went to see Identity (8 or 9/10...still trying to decide, since i just saw it less than an hour ago and just got back like 5 minutes ago...)...tho my friends and I guessed the killer ahahahah lol...but there were lots of parts we didn't expect (love the unusual twist)

In New Zealand, you can walk into an R16 or R18 and never get caught. No one cares. Oh, and in Thailand, all movies are rated G for General audiences. lol.

BUT, in Thailand, all movies are cut to a "G" rating.

AA? I guess they never had that in Victoria.

And that's why I saw exactly the same version of Rules of Attraction that showed in the US?
